I assume they are 8 ohms each, they came out of some monitors we use. Free to a good home that doesn't make this process a ballache like previous give aways have been.

Yes it does but means you have to buy tubes within that bias range
As far as I know - yes, if you pull out the bad tube and its opposite. As you see, there are two rows of six valves, so just pull out the opposite one as well and I guess it should be fine for a while. I wouldn't guarantee that though. As for revalving - I will be doing it myself, as for you - up to you . It's not really a big deal, just pull out the old ones and replace them with the new, unless I'm missing something.
Biasing but if you are buying a valve kit for a 400+ it shouldn't be too much of a problem as they should be within their requirements

Well Ped, BassBlueStew and Crazykiwi also owned my 400+ before me and they all swore by the Harma's in it, it wasn't retubed till recently having been owned by all those people and me gigging it about 150 times a year for 3 years
-
I had Harma's in my 400+ and it sounded great when I retubed after 6+ years of use and heavy use at that to Groove Tubes I didn't notice a tonal difference. I swapped one of my Strategy 400's from Sovtek's to Groove Tubes recently and there was a huge change in output and clarity and just overall sounded better. So I would say go with the Harma's I never had an issue with them and even when worn they still sound awesome. Sovtek's meh

Thought I had sold this but apparently not HAO RUST RIDE. The Rust Ride was designed to provide the Bassist with a functional, professional-quality overdrive without compromising note clarity or low-end response. The Rust Ride’s components were painstakingly selected in order to maintain the original Bass tone and note attack/release dynamics that are typically lost with other OD units. Its preset EQ offers three different frequency curves without altering the overall frequency operation range, providing voicing options that can’t be achieved w/a normal tone control. Passive and Active inputs allow the Rust Ride to operate with any type of Bass while individual Dry and Effect outputs offer routing of clean Bass tone to a tuner, P.A. system, or a second amplifier. Input Impedance: Approx. 500K-ohm Output Impedance: Approx. 100K-ohm Controls: Level, 3-Position mini EQ Switch: (Normal, Bright, Warm) Power: DC9V Adaptor Jack (Negative Tip) Switching: True Bypass ON/OFF Footswitch with LED Size: 121(L) x 86(W) x 36(H) mm (excluding knob, switches, and jacks) It's in ok condition, for some reason the bottom plate while original is unfinished and just metal and there are a few paint chips dotted around the pedal. I'm after £70 for this gem open to offers, trades etc. Cheers

Basically I was sent these in error and its far easier to sell them and rebuy what I want than send them back to the US, so I figured I would try here before ebay. They are all from pedalenclosures.com so avoid the shipping cost and the import duties and get some cool cases today. All enclosures are brand new and I have 5 up for grabs (1 is being used for a pedal now) I'm after £17 per enclosure but will entertain offers on all 5. The colours I have are Hammerite Green Black Mist (Light black sparkle) Hammerite Red Purple Hammerite Silver Most of these can be seen here http://www.pedalenclosures.com/Products/ta.../4/Default.aspx Cheers

These will do hella gritty especially if you run both inputs at the same time, and because each channel has a volume control you can crank them with them cascading into each other and then just turn the master down, it will do really distorted then. Unless of course your bass has the output of a 5 year old girl.
recently got a new addition to my stack. this must be my third post in this section lmao. here you go! the speakers are curently 810, 410,115. id like to get another 115 so 2 x 15 on the bottom 810 on top. but theres so much presence now. sounds awesome!
Nice man very very nice, I'm so tempted to get another 8x10 but I don't want to run my amp at 2 instead of 3 I still want Matamp to make me a 2x15 but its got to be tuned low I played some random one at a gig the other day and it was horrible, simply horrible. 4x12 is tempting though in an 8x10 enclosure

They are difficult to describe, they are their own tone but they are probably the best tube amp tone you can get. Like I say mine has killed all my amp gas and knocked my 400+ off my gig list after 3-4 years of me not using anything else live. I'm not going to be able to describe the tone really it's something you need to hear. People are welcome to come down to my practice room and try mine out or pop along to one of my gigs and have a listen.

Well I mean all GT200's sound essentially the same, I have one that is about as hot and gainy as you can run it and Monz had one that was as smooth as you can run it and basically my preamp just gets louder than his. Matamp will do modifications to things including changing preamp valves and stuff if you want. But it's difficult to describe if you haven't heard one, it is the best bass sound I've experienced. i went from having a long long list of amps I wanted to own to getting the Matamp GT200 and wanting to sell everything I own including my 400+ which is only staying because I've probably played near 500 gigs with it. They really are, for lack of a better word the best when it comes to tube bass amplifiers

Trace Elliot TVT9 - £215 Shipped this week only

Got this and paired it with my Strategy 400 for an amazing tube rig, thought it was amazing and I'd never sell it yadda yadda yadda then I got my GT200 and that is just so much more my sound. Now it is a guitar preamp but there is nothing in it that cuts bass, however the eq isn't that great at boosting the lower frequencies but ymmv. I think it suits those more Sheehan esq tones or Entwistle. If you run it in the fx loop of another preamp as I did with the Alembic F-1X you can get some crazy low end out of it, as I said it doesn't cut bass it just doesn't emphasis it so you get something that does and run them together wooooooo watch out This now set to 230v, it's 2u but doesn't come with any rack ears, it's had a full once over by my tech as well and all 9 yes 9!!!! preamp tubes are fine and working as they should It has the most amazing distortion sound you'll ever hear, if it doesn't sell I'll keep it and run it as an oversized distortion pedal. It's a true 2 channel preamp with all sorts of switching options I'm going to play with it some more at home and see just how much I'm up for selling this. But at the moment £300 ono Cheers -
