Use to belong to me this, here are some sound clips Rounds - http://www.grygrx.net/Pedal%20Reviews/Tone...ve%20Rounds.mp3 Flats - http://www.grygrx.net/Pedal%20Reviews/Tone...ive%20Flats.mp3 Great compressor can get a great vintage sound and it's generally what you need to add to another compressor to get the Tony Levin squish.
2.
Betty harbours a dark secret which is unsuitable for a family publication. BB
Have you had her modified for a 1/8th jack so it's a tighter fit
3. Ha I just bought my first Faces album on vinyl yesterday.
4. Battery door on the back of the pedal is missing. It's covered with gaffa tape, it's a common thing for these to go missing.
5. Same I've played one of these and they are really really good instruments often overlooked
6. Had this in my practice room for ages, fully functional just a bit tatty I'm looking for £100 or offers, we don't use it and I'm owed money from the band so whatever I can get really 150W RMS into 4 Ohms Power Output Twin Channels with independent 3-band EQ’s and Gain 3 Footswitch Tone options per channel, (Clean, Crunch & High Gain) 2 Master Volumes and Reverb, all Footswitchable 2-Wat Footswitch and Cover included Overdrive Performance & Control Surprisingly it does sound very nice and it glows blue so looks very cool I don't have the Carlsbro footswitch but I should have one that works I'll try it out tonight. Will be putting this on ebay soon. Cheers
7. I fancy picking up a Tone Hammer so going to put this on the chopping block. £75 shipped with box. Good condition apart from missing door, will post pictures tonight. Cheers
8.
Swap you for your Overwater original though!!!!! BB
Nah but would let the Darkstarred Starfire go, not that you'd like that
9.
91 my arse! Signed off by Chris April 2006! I could have sworn I've had it that long! Must have been quite new when i got it which explained its excellent condition! God knows where i got 1991 from - meths is a hell of a drug! No mention of woods though but I am sure a BCer came to my aid before on this. So there we are then 4 yr old Perception Deluxe & case 600 clams to your doorstep - current new seem to go between 1300 and 2200 BB
2006 was an awful year for Overwater lots of meths involved I'll give you £200 for it
10.
Should check the serial number but i cant find it BB
Inside the control cavity, well on the plastic that covers the control cavity
11. Ok so had a few days and a gig with it, firstly because I've been using a 5 string as my main bass for a few years now the 4 is a little difficult to play all our songs on, it's requiring a bit to much thinking tbh but there are quite a lot of songs I can play on it but this is all just what I'm use to etc. Ok so sound, well oddly the 2002 solid maple 36inch scale with active electronics sounds ver very very similar to the 1981 Mahogany 34 inch scale passive bass, true I have the tone fairly open but yeah I can pretty much swap between them live and not notice a difference in volume or tone. This may also be due to my heavy eq'ing and the fact I use big tube amps but all in all a great result. Feel, feels interesting the neck is an odd shape compared to most basses I own but it's very playable and felt very comfortable during my gig. All in all I'm very happy I have th perfect 4 and 5 string for what I do and can see myself using the 4 more in the studio next trip since my low A doesn't translate very well when recorded. I'm going to get it rewired to master volume, blend, tone, tone, I'm very happy with the bass passive and overall love it just need to spend some time learning my set on 4 strings or string it ADGC but I've never liked this on 34 inch basses. Cheers
12.
Thanks for your support guy's no3 wow, would love to see some pic's of that Tayste
Well here is the on the floor shot
13.
Q: when did OW start doing these?.... I didn't realise they made them back in 1991
Agreed I would have thought more like 2001 but I spoke to Chris and he said the old ones are like 6 maybe 7 years old
14. These really are great basses I have valenti number 3 which is an older Warmoth Silver Jazz and it sounds stunning it basically goes to anything that isn't my band (Which I use Overwater's for) as it can just cop everything I need. Mine is every bit as good as every Sadowsky I've tried, I think you've made the right choice hanging on to it it will take a hell of a lot more than £650 to get an equal or better bass.
