1. Bump, come on everyone needs a good di
2. Now on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...=STRK:MESELX:IT Will end early for BC'er and will cut a deal Cheers
3. I'll do some clips this week see what I can get out of it for you guys
4. Bought in my crazed pedal purchasing frenzy. Cool pedal, very little if any bass loss. It's technically an IC distortion not a fuzz but it sounds very fuzzy, also works great as a dirty boost. This is an old school pedal shaped like a pink rocketship with input, output, gain and volume, it only runs off batteries but you'd be crazy to put something like this on a board any way. http://www.roger-mayer.co.uk/mongoose.htm That picture is wrong its actually a very very pink colour, it's in good condition, few small chips here and there. But it's pretty much the only pedal your g/f will ever approve of. I'm after £70 for this but open to offers, trades etc if it doesn't sell I'm going to have it gutted and have a shin ei fuzz put in it's place because it's just sooooo cool on the floor Cheers
5. Just not for me, well ok I've bought too many pedals and need money to buy food now. Lot of fun in this pedal it works like a normal wah for wah but the fuzz you control the intensity by move the treadle left or right. Now the wah does loose bass and the fuzz isn't massively controllable and again probably looses bass but it looks freakin cool and has some great sounds if you know how to manipulate it properly. Would suit person with dirty loud tube amp Here are some soundclips a friend of mine did http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=630577 It is great for thos NIB impressions I'm after £65 and it comes with the velvet bag and the box and all other bumf. http://www.dolphinmusic.co.uk/product/3519...m_campaign=base Cheers
6. No no no not mine, mine I freakin love Basically a friend of mine ordered a brand new GT200, totally stock model with the light up 'Green' logo on the front (This now has an upcharge for this). He paid his deposit and everything, got the amp in the usual 2-3 month waiting period but just couldn't really afford to pay the rest off, then he got a bit more bad fortune (job, car etc) and now really can't afford it. So he's looking at shifting it on asap and I offered to help. It's brand new, never been gigged, never been turned on longer than being tested in the factory. He's after £1200firm for it, the retail on this new amp is over £1500 and it is BRAND NEW. It can be picked up from me (Stockport just outside of Manchester) or from the Matamp factory (I'm only 25 miles away so can drop it in) You're also welcome to try it out at mine. If it doesn't shift soon he'll drop it off to Matamp to be sold on comission (for more than this.) So as stated it is brand new, never been used, it is the stock model that you see on websites and reviews. Matamp can customise these amps for you even when built, for which there may or may not be a charge (you'd have to speak to Matamp about that) Any questions let me know. Cheers
7. The trick is to do it the same way you would with single pedals, octaver 100% wet, fuzz, filter Sounds very analogy to me
8. I'm going to bump this as since I got my Matamp I've not even thought about playing it so I'd like it to go to a home where it's going to be used. Will put cash to this for a Fender Bassman 135 Cheers
9. I think I'll be able to post something I've been working on with wah and delay I may as well loop it and then noodle over it
10. I could be interested in this, PM if you have a price in mind else link to the ebay auction when you set it up. Cheers
11. Well already pedal enclosures have refunded me my customs charges, I've offered that if there is a uk builder than can use them I'll send them on to them and then get the enclosures I wanted, though this time I'll only get 4.
12. Good News: Enclosures Arrived Bad News: Wrong Enclosures Between the shipping and import duty and the potential return shipping and then import duty again and the obvious huge shift in timeline, I think I'm just going to buy some stock items from these builders and sell these enclosures on ebay. FYI I got the YY enclosures instead of the Prism I's I'm waiting to see what pedalenclosures offer but being an international customer it's likely to be something that will involve a cost and some effort on my part. Dream crushed
13.
Oh I remember this, doesn't it weigh something stupid?
Not for the sound and bass it pumps out
14. Pictures of it new http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?s=&sho...st&p=677665
15. Proper flightcase rack (none of this plastic rubbish ) It's a really odd size I didn't realise till I got the new 12u, it has a metal door that opens at the back. it's in good condition all the wheels and brakes work but obviously is scuffed and such as it has been used. I'm after £70 but open to offers Cheers
16. Selling this because I have the Fender volume/tone pedal which I think is more useful for what I'm doing with fuzz's right now. I love these pedals they have such a great travel in the movement, when I first got this I shifted on my 2 Ernie Ball Jr volume pedals. Nothing else I've tried as been this smooth or comfortable though YMMV of course. http://www.dolphinmusic.co.uk/product/3519...m_campaign=base I'm after £35 comes with box, velvet bag and all the brochures etc.
17. Bump, open to offers. This is going on ebay tonight
18. http://www.dv247.com/guitars/epiphone-les-...ne-white--37130 In an effort to get our new van engine our singer has donated this to the cause. It's in fair condition, has quite a bit of playing wear on it and a crack in the finish on the neck. I will post pictures tonight once I've cleaned it up. These are great value guitars, pretty much the same build quality as the cheaper Gibson Studio range with the set necks and such. The guitar will come with a stagg guitar case and it's missing it's pickguard but it looks so much cooler like this I'm after [s]£300[/s] £225 but open to offers and I'll be putting it on ebay tonight. Cheers
19. I have 4 of these, they have served my band well in our IEM Rack so have very little wear, all function fine. http://www.dawsons.co.uk/acatalog/info_00053511.html I'm after £16 per di will come to a deal on all 4 cheer.
20.
I haven't considered an 8 string, mostly because I am so comfortable on my basses and I really do not want to change. It's a shame the Unibass doesn't sound natural (and I hear it cannot be powered off a standard power supply - this makes it pretty much a no-go), but again it is relatively old. The micro POG, on the other hand, seems to be more recent. I might be completely wrong here, though. The Foxrox sounds like it could be good - a quick skim didn't show up any bass examples; I'll carry on looking, even though the price tag puts it way out of my reach. Any POG owners here who use it in a similar way and are able to comment? I hear mixed reviews...some that it is excellent and tracks really well, others that it tracks so-so and sounds fake.
There are bass examples of the Octron in the Talkbass Effects Wiki
21. Pog's don't sound natural, best bet is something with Eventide written on it. The Foxrox octron is not a clean octave up nor is the Unibass but they do sound pretty guitar like. Other option is play higher and get an octave down which is much easier to get natural sounding.
22.
Might be getting one of these soon so I have a few questions as I'm trying to decide what pedals it might be able to replace... When you want to use the wah, do you have to press the switch to activate it on the M9 first before moving your foot to the expression pedal? Or is there some way that it self-activates when the expression pedal has movement and switches off after it's still or something like that (like the 105q)?
You could potentially have the mix low in the heel position so that when u nmove it forward it increases the mix but this will be linear, however you would want to have almost all those wah's mix anyway non are ideal for bass without the blend. Cheers
23.
thanks, thought that might have been a botty burp! but I guess the key point is if you're going to use a volume pedal for expression, make sure you know whether the frequency/impedance/whatever of your volume pedal matches the requirements of the effect pedal to be expressed upon.
Yep and also know whether it's cv or not as then you need a completely different expression pedal.
