  1. Seema like a great deal if you're local, less so if you pay the £25 courier fee he wants: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Westfield-bass-guitar/302780954729?hash=item467f26b869:g:LbsAAOSwqUdbLYI9
  2. I think that's the one I was looking for, belting performance.
  3. Gail Ann Dorsey is fantastic, brilliant but humble player with a beautiful voice.
  4. It doesn't use an Eminence driver though so that statement is fundamentally wrong. In fact it was only yesterday that someone spotted the driver he used, hence why the thread is still going. As you were.
  5. I like it! Mind you I had one of the gold leaf Curbows and liked that too:
  6. I think most people are just interested in getting an idea of what it sounds like and how it would perform without actually buying one, they look decent and the prices are low enough to make them tempting as an impulse purchase.
  7. Looks like it, they're £27 each online: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/QTX-902-509-Replacement-Speaker-Driver-for-QS-Series-Speaker-8-Ohm-Impedance-12-/401109577747?_trksid=p2349526.m4383.l4275.c10 I'm guessing these aren't some miracle driver that outperforms speakers more than double their price then?
  8. Weight listed as 14kg, 1-2kg heavier than a Barefaced 1x12.
  9. Piezo-free version is a tenner cheaper: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DHC-Bass-Lightweight-1x12-Bass-Guitar-Cab-Hand-Made-in-the-UK/323270157922?hash=item4b44672662:g:nAgAAOSwC6da9KLO Well he's already sidestepped the handle issues! Seeing as there's not much in the way of lightweight cheap cabs (maybe the Eden EX at £199?) they might make a good entry point for someone on a budget who wants a compact cab or two. Who's going to take the plunge and order one then? Oh and no speakons = ☹️
  10. I dunno, to me it looks like he's having a particularly difficult poo.
  11. That HB Stingray is a great score, more pics needed though!
  12. Nice basses these GLWTS
  13. I think at maybe the last (or second to last) jam night I went to there was a guitarist trying to set up his Orange valve head and cab (either a 4x10 or 4x12, dunno) while stood directly in front of it, drivers pointing at the back of his knees. Then he perched on the corner of the cab with it blasting out in front of him. Sounded bloody awful!
  14. Still a good deal IMO, those Gotohs aren't cheap (around a ton new) and the tuners are the main thing that people swap on Sires, the other being the knobs which you've also already done!
  15. This. Absolute crazy bargain and already has the tuners upgraded.
  16. Might be camera angle trickery but the angle of the B, E and A slopes downwards there, on yours it looks like it's a gently V shaped with the A being obscured by the E. Obviously Mr. Farmer knows what he's doing so probably just the perspective!
  17. This is true, many moons ago I was after a Squier Jazz as a backup, my local shop (supplies a ton of learners as he does a lot of teaching) couldn't get one in for love nor money as he had a small premises and couldn't place large enough orders. He ended up stocking Vintage and Crafter instruments.
  18. May be basing it on the B5 I bought new for £220 a couple of years ago, just had a quick look and they're around twice that now.
  19. Price a little on the high side for me and the lined board is a dealbreaker but this looks like a great bass and obviously will play and sound like one being a Cort. I see they're slapping a Fishman badge on those generic piezo bridges too (which sound great btw), Cort do love their licenses! Doesn't say what preamp is in there though, I take it it's just a buffer and the Bart MKI is used passively? Should sound very nice if so, hopefully they do a 5er.
  20. Had to look that up, probably shouldn't have done it on my work laptop!
  21. That looks great, in natural finishes the Mockingbird and the Eagle suit any genre IMO.
  22. Surely the way to do a twin neck Thumb is to have one lefty and one righty, Michael Angelo style?
