I played one of these when they came out, my mate bought one and it had a grey finish with the grain showing underneath. They also had a green one in the shop I think it was in the region of £300-£400 new and i thought it was pretty good at the time They also did one with f-holes, always fancied one of those

A bit of good news at least, glad the bass seems ok

Bought a little bass cab of Nik, top bloke and went out of his way to kmake sure i was happy with it One of the good guys!

Bought some rather nice pickups from Pete and they arrived very quickly, cheers bud!

I've got some longer leads i'd like to exchange for some shorter ones, my power bank came with leads way too long for my pedalboard! How long do you need? I can measure 'em tonight

A friend of mine just picked up a Markbass combo (2x10 wedge thingy IIRC) and was mightily impressed. He paid around £700 for an ex-demo one He used to use a big rig (1x18 and 4x10) and that's now redundant

I enjoyed working out fingering positions and progressions for myself, after a while you get in that zone where you can pick things up really quickly and you know what's coming next. Of course it helps if you're digging the music you're learning. Having that hunger to play really top tunes and basslines is a great incentive to play to your best and enjoy it. We started doing some really good songs this year and for the first time in ages a band practice was something i really looked forward to, mainly cos i got to bust out "Sir Duke" and "Under Pressure"!

I've offered him £78 for it which i think is a reasonable price He's not got back to me yet though.......

The fella who doesthe eBay Jizz and Pretender decals was able to knock a really good period decal up for me a while ago, cheap and a friendly bloke too

I remember looking at them but thinking they wouldn't be suitable for my fretless "Loud, dark and dirty" - sounds like they'll do the job!
