If it's got 4 knobs then it's active, same electrics and pickups as the German Corvette i think
I tried one before buying my Warwick and was impressed, good score for that price -
Good deal, they sell for nearer £200 on eBay although there's the odd exception.
Is it active or Passive? -
[quote name='andy67' post='733290' date='Feb 2 2010, 06:41 PM']Absolutely stunning!
thank you very much.

Never thought i was much of a looker but thanks for the compliment Andy! -
Jeez!
If it were near me i'd buy it just for the sake of it! -
[quote name='Bassassin' post='731077' date='Jan 31 2010, 08:58 PM']I think it looks more like the body's an odd shape / oversized - it looks like there's a couple of inches of extra wood at the back & the end of the body is less elliptical than a proper J. The bridge & control plate look in the right places relative to one another.

Yeah the distances between the neck, pickups and bridge look right, look how much wood is behind the control plate compared to a normal jazz
I think the all black one looks sweet -
I used to break loads until i switched to Elites, they seem really durable.
Hartkes are pretty tough too -
I prefer Corvettes to Streamers! Much nicer shape IMO
Have you thought about an old Thumb bass? -
Might be worth playing a few first to see what type of board gives you that sound?
The Pau Ferro one i had was very hard and durable but i didn't like it as much as the rosewood, even though that churned up easily with rounds on
I've never tried a maple-boarded fretless so couldn't commet, i assume it'll mark up quite easily though?
I quite like ebanol as a cheap compromise, looks great, is pretty hardwearing and gives a good mwah-type sound
I bought a cheap Jaco-copy for my first fretless and loved it, maybe try a Squier VMJ or a de-fretted Jazz? -
Warmoth will do one:

$180 plus shipping and tax though. Dollar is still about 62p AFAIK
Fantastic quality on their stuff, it's worth every penny
Rosewood is considered a bit soft for fretless although i loved it on my old bitsa. Ebony and Pau Ferro are thought of as more suitable -
I know a few guys who use a bit of compression to balance out the slap tone.
I use a booster pedal. I sometimes use a little one made by Silentfly and other times i use the Eq switch in my MXR M80, that has a level and 3 band eq
Before i got those i used the Shape switch on my old Hartke pedal.
All of those 3 pedals did the job. I notice Silentfly does a clean boost pedal now, looks like a good design, maybe have a look at that? -
Ok pm me your address i'll get one out.

Ok pm me your address and i'll try to send it tomorrow

Wow, the grain on yours is slightly nicer than mine. Nice bass!
-
Make sure the "colour" switch is on too.
Great pedals, i love mine! -

Thought some of you may be interested in this, bugger-ugly things in my opinion but hey-ho!
Comes with a nice case too! -
I just coil them and use electrical tape to fasten them.
Cheap leads will always break, complete false economy! I live with 2 musicians and there's a bag in the loft full of cheap broken leads that they insist on buying
Get some obbm ones or make some up and they should last years -
I thought it was a reference to the description, which contained no punctuation and sounded like Vicky Pollard's constant talking without a gap?
-
If he doesn't want any less than £450 then surely putting the BIN at £325 isn't the best idea?
Looks quite nice though, good deal -
Yeah still got yours bud
-
Ok just pm me your address and i'll send 2 out
-
Oh forgot to add, don't leave these in water for ages as there's only a thin coat of varnish on them. I just did one and i left it in for 15-20 seconds, that was enough.
-
Ok matey no worries.
I don't want any cash for them, if you want to make a small donation to BC then that's cool.
Like i said i don't want to make a profit for em, don't want any Lawyers knocking on my door! -
Not sure if this sort of thing is allowed so if not please remove the thread, they're free though and strictly for personal projects!
