    An old Jazz (in showroom condition) with a supposed history going for £21,000 He had bought all the parts in the last month or so, all clearly visible in his feedback I sent him a message explaining how hilarious it was!

    You ever heard their first album? Utter tosh! Mothers Milk, BSSM and for me One Hot Minute are their best. One Hot Minute gets the vote purely for Aeroplane, Coffee Shop and Shallow be Thy Name, very underrated album Back OT, i'd like to thank the OP for reminding me what an ace band these guys are, dug their CDs out and gave em a good listen tonight. Used to cover Twisted many moons ago

Often however feedback on fair pricing is useful and constructive. Bear this in mind and be considerate and vigilant. If anyone is seen being aggressive or SERIOUSLY overpricing an item them you are best off sending a PM to the member and to a moderator. The best policy is that if you do not like the price, move on. The seller won’t sell and you avoid any arguments. " Whether you agree or disagree with this guy's price (FWIW i have no problem with it) prob best to PM. I've had someone post on one of my for sale threads telling everyone what the item was worth (and they were pretty wide of the mark) so know how annoying it can be

    Aye i used to cart a full stack about. The more PA gear we acquired the less bass gear i wanted to carry! I can carry my bass, amp, cab and lead bag in one go now

    Haha! Every time i get a bass delivered to work i spend half the day playing it! Very nice looking bass too, i've never seen a bad looking fortress though

    Some people think they can be on par (or better) than USA Fenders, some experience bad ones that er, aren't! I tried a few and they were all well below par for a £400+ bass, i ended up buying a Squier because it was a far better bass. However there are extremely good ones, some folk on here swear by them

    Billy Gould - Faith No More Larry Graham - Sly & Family Stone, Solo Geezer Butler - Black Sabbath Verdine White - Earth Wind & Fire A good way to cop some ace basslines is just to get the generic Disco/Motown/Funk boxsets that go cheap in HMV etc. You can get the 3 CD sets for around a fiver, loads of top tunes on them. I bought a few a while ago and there's Chaka Kahn, Curtis Mayfield, James Brown, Rick James..... you get the picture! Plus introduces you to stuff you wouldn't have heard otherwise

    That's a better explanation than i could muster! Gigged with this on Saturday (well, tried it for a few bits on a couple of songs as we don't have much call for uber fuzz..... yet!) It's definitely well suited to bass in a live situation. When you kick it in it sounds exactly like a fuzzed up version of your normal signal (obvious i know, but it's surprising how many fuzzes don't cut it live). Seemed to sit in the same sort of frequency range as my normal sound but adds a lot more clout, in other words it doesn't get lost in the mix at all. Tons of bass too!

[/quote] They weren't that great in the grand scheme of things but were one of Gibson's best basses IMHO, Probably says more about Gibson basses than that model in particular! I had a well gigged '77 RD Artist in all natural, managed shy of £500 for it which makes this look extremely overpriced

    If it's a mainstream brand then Warwick all the way. My 'Vette was under £600 new, an absolute bargain. Every inch a "proper" bass for not a lot of cash. Still one of the best necks i've ever played and looks the part as well as sounding fantastic
