Btw a lot of folk get on just fine with the standard LMII, Genz 6 etc. I use a LMII and it's plenty loud enough, we have a very loud drummer too The larger power ratings of the more recent MB/Genz gear might not make too much difference either. I "upgraded" a rig a while ago to the higher rated model and it was pretty much the same!

I saw an FNA corvette go for £276 a while back and a mint Proline recently went for £410. Also a really nice Fortress went for £390 the other week. Personally i wouldn't pay over £250 for this, but then i am tight as a nun's proverbial. Also he describes the de-fret as "a fairly professional job as far as i can tell" -
Usually a few runs through at home then a few times at practice then that's pretty much it nowadays. Having said that most of our songs are pretty easy (all the best party songs are!) but we don't rehearse often. Usually we have 2 rehearsals to introduce new stuff then don't bother for a month or so. When i first started i was playing Oasis etc. at school (not my choice, but there was only 1 drummer and he liked them) so getting competent was no problem!
MB1. Where from?...... there supposed to be Twice that?...
A local guitar shop (who sadly has fallen into disrepute), i've bought a bit of stuff from him in the past (2+ grand) and bought two at the same time, one for my nephew who showed an interest in learning the guitar. Never checked the price, i'd be happy to pay that for it though. It's a lot more accurate than other portable tuners i've used and is less finicky too. Really easy to use and gets you in concert pitch in no time at all

One of those little tool kits from the pound shop is always handy. Normal and mini screwdrivers, pliers and pincers. All rubbish quality but a life saver in an emergency
Handy.. My keyrings are never in tune ...
A dad joke of the highest order!

Got a Seiko keyring tuner for £5.50, very accurate. Great for noodling around the house, esp as my classical guitar refuses to stay in tune for longer than 5 minutes!

ZVex Mastotron (Now with added soundclip goodness)

It has more than enough Fuzz for me but is controllable. Not really listened to Type O Negative i'm afraid and couldn't find a good example on Youtube of the bass sound Had another play with it last night, the square wave to pulse knob is sweet. Goes from roaring to synthy, i like! -

I have 2 broken pedals that were left in our old practice room before it was knocked down. We soon realised how much knackered gear had accumulated in the 2 years we were there! I hate throwing stuff away but am getting sick of the sight of these so..... One is a Nobels eq/boost. This works fine but is a bit crackly and noisy. The battery cover is missing and it's a bit battered but hey, it's free! Bass, treble and level controls The other is a Danelectro Milkshake Chorus. Don't think this works, it powers on but you can't get a usable sound out of it and the knobs are missing (you can still turn the pots though). Could be good for spares something. If no-one wants em they'll end up in the bin on next Wednesday!

I like the EHX ones. The Small Clone was nice but i preferred the Stereo Electric Mistress.

I'm completely rubbish at computer recording unfortunately. I haven't even bothered to set my laptop sound card up yet! -
Hi all I'm selling my Wren & Cuff Pickle Pie. It's the one with the mid switch but not the "B" version. Still sounds great with bass though With the Mid switch mod they're $190, not including shipping which is $10. However the mid switch on mine is stuck in one position. Don't know how this happened, it's been in storage for a few weeks, i got it out to compare it with another pedal and the switch won't move! The pedal still works but i guess it needs a new switch. I have taken some photos of the inside. Don't know if it's a common part but here's a brief description of the switch: It's a 2 way unit with 3 contacts (only 2 are used) On one side it says MTS - 1 (or "I") On the other side it says 6A 125VAC tthen 3A 250VAC That's about as techy as i get i'm afraid! I'm thinking £55 posted? Obviously if you get it and it's totally buggered then ya can have a refund, it's completely working apart from the switch AFAIK, sound fair? Please no Paypal, cheque is fine. Don't want to give them any money if i can help it!

Just plugged mine in for the first time (Guitar Village, linky above, £76 delivered) First impressions? It's extremely good! With the Sub switch on 3 (full) it has a ton of bass, you can turn the fuzz right up (the manual told me to!) and it's well defined I used the Impedance knob from totally counter clockwise to about 12 o'clock, any further with an 18v pre and it became less like my idea of a fuzz but still sounded cool and very edgy What i currently like most about it is that (because of the Sub switch) you can have the tone knob set anywhere and still retain loads of bass in the signal. IMLE with a bass fuzz, even one with a blend control, it's usually a compromise getting the sound you want with one that sits in a mix and cuts through in the right areas. I'm itching to gig this pedal as it promises to deliver the goods in a live situation! It's also a lot smaller than i expected, about the same size as an EHX Nano pedal Only negative so far is that the Sub switch is tiny and doesn't feel too sturdy, it's also wedged right inbetween the Volume and Tone knobs so my fat fingers can't get to it without messing these two settings up. Think i'll just leave it on full though.... -
Even if you don't go for the newer ones chances are the current ones will drop in price when they come out. A German Warwick Fortress went for £380 on eBay the other week so might be worth keeping your eye out. You'll be bidding against me though
Just buy a Nano Small Stone phaser, I got mine for only £38 new online! You could try to build your own but it's a lot of components to squeeze onto a small board.
+1 Mine was £40 delivered off here. Cracking little Phaser Persevere with the sale of tour Nano Clone, someone will grab it! I sold my original Clone on here not so long ago

An hour or thereabouts, that includes lights and full PA pluys the first round and cigarette. We usually give ourselves an extra hour just incase an amp has failed, speaker is farting etc. Being late is one thing, being unprepared is another!
