  1. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1221745602357472/ Beast of a budget rig, think these cabs got some surprisingly favourable comments on here when they were cleared out off a bit ago.
  2. I'd be surprised if there's anything better than the ZS10 for the measly £25 they cost me and for a lot of people that low price (along with the Behringer belt pack) is the little push they need to make the jump. I don't think I'd have convinced the entire band to go IEM if it hand't cost them just £55 each to kit themselves out, plus if you do upgrade later down the line you have a perfectly serviceable spare. Nothing to lose really and they starter kit reccomended on here has been a huge benefit to me and the rest of the band.
  3. Whirlwind do one in a belt pack format, eye wateringly expensive but looks ideal until you realise it's external power only.
  4. Not a belt pack (it's nearly half a kilo) and also not cheap but there's a wired compact headphone amp with a switchable optical limiter here: https://www.runwayproaudio.com/rolls_pm55p_personal_monitor_amp.htm

    Tiny bass?

Yes I remember the thread on it, very similar to my Hondo which has an AliExpress Epi bridge. Funnily enough I weighed mine tonight as I'm putting it up for sale - 10.5lb/4.7kg! Just out of interest what does the switch do?
  6. The one available for sale now is the snappily named PNB14E-OPN which is cheaper, has a bound fingerboard/body and is made in Indonesia. The Artwood versions (AVNB1E and AVNB1FE) were Chinese and look a lot nicer IMO. I had the cheaper one but returned it due to finish flaws and a poor fret job but it was a Thomann B stock, other people have had no issues with theirs. Eventually picked up the AVNB1E which is superb with excellent fit and finish. Harley Benton also do a 24" scale travel bass for less, looks a bit nicer than the cheapest Ibanez as well: https://www.thomann.co.uk/harley_benton_gs_travel_e_bass_mahogany.htm
  7. I was looking at the C3 Picasso but wanted as much headroom/visibility as possible, ended up with a Fiat Qubo which is a Fiesta sized van that has foldable/removeable rear seats. Was trying to convince Mrs Lemmywinks to get a C3 last time she was car shopping but she keeps buying these little hobbit cars I have to fold myself in half to get in. My rule now is that if it doesn't also function as a van I'm not interested!
  8. I just kinda assumed everyone on here had a Berlingo tbh.
  9. I had the Batking one, cool little thing that does a very good impression of an upright. One thing I would say though is if you want a fretless acoustic sound and feel but in a tiny package then they probably won't be what you're after. A better option might be getting one of the Ibanez Parlour basses (or similar Taylor GS Mini clones) and defretting it, even better finding one of the old Ibanez Artwood versions which had a fretless option. They're 24.5" scale, have bronze wrapped nylon strings and sound beautiful.
  10. What desk are you using? The XR18 has compression for each aux fader and there's also a limiter in the effects which you can apply to your aux feeds.
  11. I bought one of those cheap copies, will compare it to the Behringer when it arrives. Was about £13 with tax. Realised the other day the only spare we don't carry is the IEM belt pack so may come in handy. Looks like the belt clip part is removable (tool free thumb screw) and there's a proper battery compartment behind it instead of the slide out shell on the Behringer. Might actually prefer that tbh as the batteries can't become dislodged and the belt clip won't move around like on the Behringer..

    Tiny bass?

The Track IV looks a lot nicer IMO, some of the prices are mental though.

    Tiny bass?

Just tag @Bassassin to save time! Looks like someone has already replaced the bendy bridge in the first pic.
  14. Eggy Wets is the one I think
  15. I high pass our keys player, band sounds much better for it. We don't do much low synthy stuff where I can take a back seat though. Usually kick rolls off around 77hz, bass is high passed around there and keys are high passed in the mid bass range so we all get a slice without interference. None of them know about this though, nor are they interested in learning about it! May be mistaken but you play in the Manfred Mann band don't you? How does your sound guy do things?
  16. Take charge of the PA and high pass the keys!
  17. Then you get stuck in the loop of drummer's deteriorating hearing and increasingly loud kits.
  18. When drummers find a snare that is louder than their current ones they have to buy it, even if they're too loud in the first place. It's just the natural order of things.
  19. Can't be that hard to read the manual or website before the camera starts recording though, most other reviewers manage it and even an idiot like me can get a vague idea if a preamp will work for me based on the spec sheet. Like I said they're adverts first and foremost and will be focusing on telling you how great the product is, even from that perspective it seems like a missed opportunity as some of the things they don't mention or demonstrate might be a selling point for a lot of people.
  20. Can't remember which one but I'm sure I watched an Andertons bass video where they hadn't even bothered to learn what the preamp controls do and were sat there guessing on camera. Just seemed really weird! There's much better resources out there if you want to get a brief understanding of a product and aren't able to try it out in person, realistically expecting reliable information from a source which is also trying to sell you the thing isn't a great idea anyway.
  21. Cheapest option might be to grab one of the German Streamer Standards (with the one piece bridge) and swap the necks if they're compatible, usually around £300-£400. Like this: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/8135823993163258/
  22. The last thing I want to see in a demo video is chops or fancy soloing, just demonstrating the range of tones available is fine. I want to know how good the bass is, not the person playing it. Although Andertons videos are just adverts so I guess they can do what they want really.
  23. The danger here is when they find out you have a box of 9v batteries, you'll need some sort of stick (preferably on fire) to keep inquisitive hands away.
  24. I thought it was those two that got convicted of trying to forcibly undress an audience member whereas Paedis was charged for rubbing his gentals on a woman's face? Can't keep track of it, that's before we get into Paedis' preference for minors.
