1. I tried it before buying the XL cabs, think it handles 100w less IIRC and flakes out earlier, i used a 500w head so needed more power handling. Think they're good for the money though. There's this on ebay at the mo too : http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Hartke-HA2500-Transp...%3A1|240%3A1318 Get the lot!!! EDIT: Just seen you have a mesa head so you'll prob be looking for something with a higher rating. I think the TP is only 300w. Is it just for rehearsals?
2. The best bit is that god-awful string bend that's way out of tune! I think this guy probably died a dishonourable death after this performance when he met his local Fodera dealer!
3. Agree with the Squeir love! I tried a few MIM jazzes before i bought mine and the Squier felt and sounded better. The second hand MIA Jazz i tried was more than 3 times the price and definitely did not sound 3 times as good. Stuck Barts in my Squier and it kicked the MIA into touch If you really want an F on the headstock buy a decal for under a tenner!
4. Went about a minute after i posted this! Anyone from here?
5. Here's a kay for £40 BIN http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Kay-bass-collectable...id=p3286.c0.m14

7. The neck on my jazz is wider and chunkier in the hand than a typical jazz, just something to be aware of. I'm not unhappy with it, it's still a great neck, just not what i was expecting! Don't know if they still make em like that
8. Sorry if i'm pointing out the obvious, but are you using it with a universal ac adapter? If so the polarity might be the wrong way round. I think it should be tip negative (my syb3 is) Otherwise probably best to contact the seller before having it looked at elsewhere, might be a problem if you have to return it
9. I have found that my Russian Big Muff does suck the tone slightly so would appreciate a link to a true bypass mod. Also they can be very noisy when switched on but out of all the distortions i've tried it's the rudest and my personal favourite! I'm sending mine to the shop to be looked at so the noise problem may be a fault with mine Bear in mind you'll have to mod it to accept mains power as they are battery only when new and they eat batteries for fun They are miles better for bass then the USA version, i bought the USA one in error before i got mine and there was no real low end to it. The Russian Muff has loads of bass clout and sounds incredibly rich and thick
10. Blowtorch (of the bass pedal variety) arrived today, thanks again. I particularly liked the Rice Krispies box to house the adapter, quality stuff! Cheers Steve
11. Again, great guy to deal with and power unit arrived very well packaged. Cheers dude!
12. Pedal arrived very quiclkly and was very well packed. Always a pleasure, never a chore! Cheers Steve
13. Thanks for this dude it's a cool neat pedal for not a lot of cash. This guy's shifting some good gear!
14. Been meaning to set one of these things up for a while so do your worst!
15. Received my Warmoth Jazz in just an unlocked Gator case with a Parcel Force sticker slapped on it!
16. I'll take it then buddy! Do the leads come with?
17. What's the height bud? Also i take it this can't supply power to an 18v pedal? Cheers
18. Basic passive bass IIRC, vol x2 and tone x2. Think they retailed for just under £200 for the 4 string and i think another £20 for the 5. I tried the 5 string and it was way to cramped at the bridge for my liking but the 4 looks better
19.
Of the T’bird type basses out there around that price, definitely my choice would be the Spector Rex (/Rex Brown) – especially in the “holoflash” finish like the pic. There was a 2nd hand 5-string recently in a local music shop for £350, sweet player and sounded v "rock" but with a modern “hi-fi” edge to it too. Stretching to £500 or so you might even get lucky and pick up an old unloved genuine Gibson RD or RD Artist, which have a more rounded T’bird shape and 2+2 headstock. These were Gibson’s top of the line bass in their day (late ‘70’s / early 80’s), but never really caught on mainly due to weight and complex Moog electrics, and as they’re so unknown these days can sometimes be had cheap. Not especially neck-heavy, just …… heavy. Heavier than anything you’ve ever played. But the sound is worth it, massive and brutal - love mine, just swap to the Rick now and again to rest the back......
My RD Artist '77 in natural maple sold on ebay for about £450 i think, original case and gigged condition. Was gutted!
20. That's something i'd usually have noticed too, i've just been tracking the odd fortress recently (to no avail), damn.................. If i'd have seen it i'd have bid on it!
21. Think huggy and the bears is after a cheap MM 5er, give him a shout. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=29232
22. If you dig out that columbus i'm interested!
