Ibanez EHB series - 45mm at the nut and 18mm spacing. Wide flat neck with great access, feather light as well. Body is angled away at the top so very comfortable, mine is 3.15kg/6.9lb but tbh it actually feels lighter as there's no dive (headless so not surprising!) and it is so slim. Basically hangs at whatever position you put it in, the only lighter feeling bass I've owned is the Aria Sinsonido which is made from helium and foam. Get the 15xx versions or budget for a pickup swap if going for one of the cheaper ones.

The eq on the BH250 is quite clever as well as the controls cut and boost at different frequencies - the bass cuts @ 80hz and boosts @ 100hz.

What cabs are they? If the backplate is big enough and easily accessible it might be a better bet to get a parallel input/output installed in one (or both) of them. The BH250 is a cool amp but not the loudest, you can get more perceived volume out of it with the Spectracomp Toneprint loaded and set to around 9 o'clock.

Mentioned on here before but a few years ago (before Mrs Lemmywinks and Lemmywinks Jnr when all of my wages belonged to me!) I had a search set up on eBay for <£70 + Newly Listed + BIN bass guitars. Had a constant rotation of backup basses through the doors and all were crazy bargains, used to have it loaded up on my work laptop and would refresh every so often in to get those deals that get snapped up within the first minute or so. Great way to satisfy GAS and I'd always pass them on for what I'd paid or a little bit more.

If you need to play music that requires lower notes then just move to a 5, much less faffing around in the long run. I tried to persevere as my main 4 had a drop tuner but being rather lazy I ended up just moving to a 5 permanently. If you like 16.5mm at the bridge then a used SR is a safe bet, there's also usually some bargain BTBs knocking around if you want wider spacing. Sire M series and Cort C series are worth considering as well.

Also worth adding that playing heavily with the bronze/wrapped bronze strings like that guy in the OP's video will always result in an overabunance of clacky, squeaky noise. Acoustic basses with brighter strings reward a more restrained approach, in fact they're a really useful practice tool if you tend to dig in too much at gigs as they force you to pay more attention to your technique. Rein it in a little and they usually have tons of dynamic response.

I love my acoustic basses, have an Ibanez 24" scale and an old fretless Ozark I've had for 23 years. When people claim they are useless what they usually mean is that they don't play like a conventional bass or fulfil the same role - they aren't meant to and you can sorta tell that by looking at them! Depending on how they're set up and what strings you use you can get a lot out of them - a fretless with nylon tape wound strings can have loads of old school upright style thump and have an entirely different palette of sounds to a fretted acoustic bass with bronze strings. Similarly my little Ibanez with the bouncy multifilament core/bronze wrap strings sounds different to both, almost like a bass version of the bottom three strings of a classical guitar and is a very lively little bass to play, not to mention pretty loud acoustically. The focus on here has always been about volume - "but they aren't loud enough, use a Precision" which is rather strange unless your only goal is to rehearse unamplified with a guitarist in which case then maybe they're not for you. If you like the sound they produce - and you really need to try a few of them, preferably with something other than the standard phosphor bronze strings - and feel yourself wanting something convenient for sofa practice then they might be up your street.

The EHB1505 is about 102cm, multiscale version will be longer. With the overall length and the elongated upper horn it's about the max I'd want to put in the Pro Go with the extra padding but it does fit nicely, combined with the neck support it's safe in there.

About 101cm with the padding in, removing it gets you about an extra 6cm.

I use an Ibanez EHB1505 and it fits in the guitar Pro Go with the removable base padding still in. It's tight but not so tight that it puts strain on the neck. I think with a longer headless you'd have to remove that extra padding which just velcros off. They did redesign the bag not so long ago (changed the straps and rain cover) so maybe that accounts for the different sizes? I'll measure mine and post it here.

I contacted the seller for more infomation, he's done some work on it including different pickups and wiring so possibly the same bass. My main interest was string spacing as it looks too tight for me, seller said it's 15.5mm so very narrow at the bridge.

The eBay listing looks like the legit one, Rob Armstrong is Coventry based as is the seller. Dave Pegg and Rob are also quite good friends I think.

The boner bass! Played a Jazz years ago, was very nice but had that uncanny valley vibe to it. Look far less odd being played on a strap than they do on a stand IMO. Might be one for future collectors given its unusual appearance and limited production.

It's a Cort thing, they've had that license for donkeys' years and it's just a way to cheaply add name brand spec to an instrument, I've fallen for it in the past. They've slapped numerous names on their in house/offshore pickups over the years like EMG Select, Mighty Mite, Duncan (in the EDB 5 series) etc and have used the Fishman license on preamps as well. I quite liked the Might Mite pickups and Fishman pre (long gone now due to failure) in my Cort C5P, much better than the old Bart MkI and it's dreadful accompanying preamp in the supposedly higher spec B5 I owned (nice bass though). The Ibanez T1 pickups used in that 1006 sound great in demo videos, a vast improvement over the Lic Barts in the other 1000 series.
