Ok managed to unpack mine, it's noticeable flimsier than the normal Pro Go and does seem to lack a lot of the niceties of that case such as the padded vertical handle (it's just a budget strip of webbing on these) and the plush lined front pocket. The straps and retaining mechanism also seem to be a lot cheaper from memory, will need to check when I get home though. Also the latch to secure the flap of the front pocket is a PITA. On the plus side it is nice and slim while offering adequate protection, the front pocket is big enough without making the case too bulky and it's light while being made of durable material. Still a decent gigbag and well worth the £50 but I would never pay the full price for it (£119 at Gear4Music!!!) when you can get the much better standard Pro Go for about £20 less. The cost saving measures on the Pro Go X make the price look a little silly IMO as you can get more for less within Gator's same range of gigbags.... I'm glad I got it for £50 though and will be using it to carry my spare bass around in for sure.

Mine arrived at work after I ducked out early for a function gig so will have to wait until tomorrow to check it out. If it's anything like the full fat pro go then it should be a total steal though.

If you have really big basses try the Blake ones, you can get most basses in those and they're £49 delivered.
-
Last one left but the price has gone up to £119, looks like you got the last bargain @KK Jale.

Realistic start bid though. -
I currently use one of the Blake gigbags to transport my spare bass and while it was very cheap, is amazing quality and has tons of storage it's also very big, especially for the compact Cort I keep in it. Been on the lookout for something slimmer but similar in quality to my current Pro Go and the Blake so this has come just at the right time for me, thanks for the heads up!
-
I take it these are a slimmer version of the normal Pro Go? I have one of those and it's ace so this should be right up my street. In fact in a few days it literally will be right up my street as I've ordered one!

No worries ped if you get in any legal trouble I know a guy near me who will get you a signed affidavit from the Queen proclaiming your innocence.

Medals with the sides lopped off and signed by the Red Baron by any chance?

Funnily enough his extremely large stock of autographed pictures (mostly from the a small pool of artists) was brought up last time I put one of his auctions on here. Seems to sell quite a few of them and always has the odd negative feedback from disgruntled buyers who received Lemmy's/Bowie's/Mercury's name signed by this guy:
-
The thing is even if it was £6.50 you'd think twice. I've mentioned before that this guy also used to sell condoms which were past their use by date with the line "I use these myself and they're fine", probably not the best choice of words all things considered.

I've posted some of this absolute madman's creations before, he's pretty local to me which is something that keeps me up at night. They walk amongst us! I did wonder what happened to that old park bench down my street though, looks like it has now been repurposed..... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CUSTOM-BUILT-DISTRESSED-BASS-GUITAR-by-pro-artist-NEW/273797164271?hash=item3fbf952cef:g:WUQAAOSwCqZcqdyn Apparently he's a pro artist and the RRP on this is £650 so the start bid is amazingly low, the guy must be crazy! Also forgot to mention he can't solder pots so all his basses are wired straight to the jack, I would also love to see the routing underneath that scratchplate. Fret markers on the back of the neck, genius!!!!! Nuts screwed over the pickup cover just in case playing it becomes too comfortable

I pretty much do this, the DI pedal I use has a 3 band eq with sweepable mids but I only really ever use it for a bit of compression and a brightness roll off. The eq on the bass gets the sound I like so there's no need to tinker.

Who came up with that headstock, did they assemble it from a cheapo eBay kit and thought that's how it was meant to look?

Good bag/backpack to carry a Markbass head in?
lemmywinks replied to franzbassist's topic in Accessories and Misc
Have a look at DJ backpacks, Magma, UDG and Gator do good ones but you'll be paying over a ton. -
Did P basses have the original contour body decal?

I do some more delicate work than the usual bass related stuff so the pen style irons are great, just much nicer to use than the big clunky irons I used to have. You can go nuts with soldering equipment and spend hundreds (like any tool if you're using it a lot it's worth it) but the ~£50 stuff now is great. Hakko and Weller both do extremely well priced cordless irons too so they're worth checking out, may take a while longer to heat up than the TS100 though.

The USB port is just for firmware updates and editing as far as I know, not for power. A lot of people use generic 19v laptop power supplies (it can work with a variety of voltages) with them but the variable one I linked to works fine and gives it the full 24v. No experience of the TS80 but it looks smart, has the same boot screen as the TS100 so if it's basically a lower power (guessing ~20w?) version then it should be adequate, may struggle with bigger blobs of solder for grounding pots etc. Looks really convenient for use with a power bank or something, looks like they've made fitting the tip tool free too - on the TS100 you have an annoyingly tiny hex screw.
-
I have a TS100 which is great, they're usually £30-£40 on sale: https://www.banggood.com/MINI-TS100-Digital-OLED-Programmable-Interface-DC-5525-Soldering-Iron-Station-Built-in-STM32-Chip-p-984214.html?rmmds=search You'll need a power supply for it though, here's what i use: https://www.banggood.com/Excellway-9-24V-3A-72W-ACDC-Adapter-Display-Adajustable-Power-Adapter-Switching-Power-Supply-UK-p-1304491.html?rmmds=myorder I also have a silly cheap (ie £4 off eBay) USB powered iron for small jobs when I can't be bothered setting up the proper one which is surprisingly good, better than a lot of cheap irons and I can plug it into any USB port and be soldering in under a minute. Recently soldered a Micro USB port onto a board with it and it was easily capable of delicate work, spare tips are about £1 too and they're actually nice to use. I use this much more than I intended to do purely down to it being so convenient and me being lazy! A lot of those cheap solder stations have really poor quality tips which are fine for a few leads etc but quickly deteriorate even if you look after them, I've had two of those generic (branded under a million different names like Silverline etc) ones fail on me. In the long run it's more cost effective to just get a better iron, those £40 TS100 ones are the first cheap iron which has been genuinely good. Tips are cheap and you can get really fine ones too.

He had a stint in Cambodia and Vietnam too and has been found guilty of raping underage girls as young as 11. I had no idea people were still covering his songs, that's genuinely odd.

I think paedos and nazis is probably a good place to draw the line personally.
