Just got hold of this beast, loving it at the moment...... My Epiphone Jack Casady....!

just got hold of one, came with flats and once the neck was straightened and the intonation sorted it is an awesome bass. Sound really distinctive and a dream to play. Will be gigging it for the first time in Feb, can't wait....! It's a real keeper!!
No sure about black card... sounds a bit funereal to me :-) Something I've found important with respect to the design of business cards/flyers etc. is that a large percentage of people's eyesight is not particularly good. Therefore I would make clarity of print a priority; no point in having something that looks lovely but is difficult to perceive. Grey text on black background could well suffer from this. Jennifer
+1 I had a whole batch a cards done, really professional, execpt most people couldn't read the email or web addresses. Make sure it meets it's purpose as opposed to looking nice. A real case of less is more IMO

Matt bought my Sansamp BDDI. Absolutely no hassles at all, rapid payment and was a really good guy to deal with. No hesitation in recommending him to deal with in the future. Many thanks Ju (farmer61)

PRICE REDUCTION - GOT MY EYE ON SOMETHING! For sale my Takamine EG 512c, that I bought for an acoustic project that is not going ahead. Really nice player, both acoustically and when amped up..! Good quality case included, couple of minor marks on the body but overall great condition. Strung with flats. The official spec below- [i]Jumbo Cutaway Bass Concentric Rings Rosette Spruce Top Dots Inlays Mahogany Back Mahogany Sides Rosewood Fingerboard TK40 Preamp Chrome Tuners Takamine EG512C 4 String Jumbo Electro - Acoustic BassThe takamine eg512c acoustic bass guitar is still one of the most popular of all takamine guitars and appeals to all ages. Takamine's long history of providing quality stringed instruments is evident in this affordable and very popular acoustic dreadnought guitar. The takamine eg512c super jumbo produces a lot of volume with super clarity and a tightly focused sound. Topped with spruce and built with mahogany back and sides, it has a 22-fret maple neck with rosewood fretboard (34" scale), rosewood bridge, Takamine TK-4NB pre-amp, and chrome tuning machines.
PS - It has been two tears now since I opened the shop!
More than two with the amount I spent there!!! Anyway thanks for the GB advice you gave me, I'm loving the gear. Happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year.

Bought this from new in 2006, bought as an amp back up (one of my belts and braces moments) Used an as effect a couple of times but never needed as a DI. Good condition with a couple of nicks where it's been in my music case. Full working order. Have the box, think the instructions are lying around somewhere, worst case you can always get them off the net. Having just bought a Fishman Pro this is now redundant and I'd like some funds for my current T-Bird gas, because of this no trades please. Feel free to ask any questions!!
Very slightly OT, there's a 76 Bicentennial Thunderbird IV on Ebay, and also a '64 Thunderbird II on Ebay US if the vintage ones float ya boat as well
Yeah been looking at them, bit out of my price range tbh. I found a black 76 in the US, but I'm too afraid to enquire about the price....!

Firstly well done!! We've all been here done that and after loads of gigs still do. The first thing I thought before I got down the thread was "only 8 rehearsals". Most of the things ref structure of songs is the band being tight and that only comes with practice and more practice and then playing live. I wouldn't been downhearted on the contrary you got un expectedly paid, the real acid test is will they book you again. Ref your drummer, nerves will be a factor, however my drummer can play at different volume levels, he says playing quiter is harder but it can be done. ref gap in between songs, can be frustrating esp if one person is noodling aroud or continually tuning when the rest of you are good to go. Top stuff and good luck with your future gigs.

Am looking at either a Standard Black T-bird or a Nikki Sixx T-Bird, both about the same price once import duty taken into consideration, these are to join my White T-bird. Interstesed to hear constructive views on both basses, I have never had my hands on a sixx version and because of availability and prob never will, so this would be a slight leap of faith. Please no T-birds are sh*te or one trick pony posts. Thanks

I stand my 2x12 on a plastic beer crate, mainly so I can hear the thing better. Does this effectively do the same thing as a Gramma? what if I put foam on top of the crate?

Ok here goes. In terms of people on here I'd say I was an at best 'average root note' player. I can't slap and I'm rubbish at improvisation. I am however a better live performer than player, which sort of goes someway to negate my weaknesses in playing. I have a thick skin when playing live and will carry on regardless of what's going on around me. I'm improving at both singing and playing. I have good gear. I don't act my age on stage and am fearless at making a t*at of myself. Best I can do.
