2.
Need the money so now on eBay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=130438727380 Happy to remove listing if a BC'er contacts me with the (lower BC) offer price
fluffy0071 ?????
 3.
I have a dilemma you can all help me with. I want to form a tribute band to make loads of money and stay in hotels in Dubai but I can't afford any new gear so the question is, which bands have a bass player who uses a Wal fretless and has a big enough following to guarantee loads of gigs. I tried a Brand X tribute but it went nowhere. PS I look like Rolf Harris
As you well know, tribute acts are the devils spawn. My advice is play jazz and learn to read music
 4.
You could just start playing anything and then ask the audience.... "Do you know what is yet?"
You've been to one of my gigs then???
 5.
Well . . . . I'd like to think I'm quite a reasonably good musician . . so far as playing guitar and Bass is concerned that is ! . . . . but I'm equally certain I'm absolutely no good at all at writing new material and nor are any of the other members / performers of the covers band I play in ! . . . . .............................removed to save space.............................. Just some thoughts to stimulate the debate ? . . . . .
Very good post imo
 6. Cheers chaps, something to work on here......here goes!
 7. Need to get this sorted for a wedding very soon? Anyone got an accurate tab, tried the ones on the normal sites but struggling with them. One option may be a simplified version. Thanks
 8.
Not as much fun as playing originals to 1000 diehard fans though, believe me!!
You must be great!
 9. All The Small Things - Blink 182 or Basket Case - Greenday
 10.
Very close. The hangers that I am using are the slightly more expensive ones that mount to the wall with a wooden plinth http://www.herculesstands.co.uk/product/85...rd%2C_short_arm
I think that the decision you'll need to take is whether you fit to the wall with 2 or 3 screws, I went for 3 because I'm a belt and braces type of chap, mind you retroman's have stayed in place so 2 seems to work well enough!
 11.
Is this the one?: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hercules-AutoSwive...r/dp/B000EEJGRK
That's them, that's a really good price......! Edit, mind you the shipping price is quite high, still a good deal though
 12. Sounds to me the gig is more important to them than gigging as a whole band, not a great way to do business imo
 13.
From first look it would appear that a two-fingered wall hanger is the same as any other, but I'm happy to be convinced that a £3.50 is significantly worse than a £15 one. Any recommendations? I need to get the guitars off the ground so the cats don't knock them over and I hate keeping them in their bags and cases as I never play them.
I was pooping my pants when I decided to buy some, the obvious risk was my basses ending up on the floor. However I have 4 of these and I have to say they're very good. About £12 each or something, I would suggest this is not something to scrimp on.
 14.
Ok so would a 250 watt trace head with a 4x10 cab be load enough for a reasonably sized gig, say 250 people? Any reasons why theyre loade than other makes?
I also had the 1210 combo which I think was about 200 watt, coped everytime I had to use it in mid sized pub and hall venues. However there's so many for sale on here, I'd be looking for one slightly more powerful, the price diffence would prob be negligable
 15. Had the Ah500-12 normally ran at 8ohm and never got the dial past 5, at 4 ohm never got the volume past 3. Very loud and very awesome.

 17.
Is this the fellow? http://store.hipshotproducts.com/cart.php?...detail&p=69
Thanks, but not sure tbh, think the shape of those is more rounded mine are more like this
 18. Do such a thing exist? Can't see any on the Grover website!!
 19.
Awesome That is all.
Looking forward to the paint job
 20. Yes perhaps some technique etc for us complete DB idiots would be good. Oxon good for me even though it would mean straying into Bandit country, pehaps South Bucks area or even M4 corridor.
 21.
Get yourself one of these Hercules things Clarky - superb stands
Had one of these feckers collapse on me at a gig with my P and Ricky on it. Never again!!!!
 22. Give Mark at Bass Direct a call, he'd advise without the pressure of a sale!
 23.
Take 'em all, and only plug one extension in (I did that to annoy a guitar player once with my old PA speakers plus a 410 and my 1x15 combo on top, he didn't notice that I only had the combo and the 410 driving. Just got narky that mine was bigger than his. I am that childish.
+1 if your back will hold out!!!
 24.
so if i link 2 cabs together that are 8ohms the this would drop it down to 4ohms? is that right Thats not gonna work then. bugger cheers.
Yes that's correct. If we assume the amp part of you combo has a rating of 4ohm, and that two x 8ohm cabs = 4ohm, then that cab part of your combo counts towards the overall rating, so yes only one 8ohm extension cab.
 25. High and Dry - Radiohead, really good to play!
