It might be worth speaking to Mark about that....
Believe me I did, I'm afriad he has to be very careful about how this scheme is managed or he could be in trouble. Now if someone wants to buy a quality bass and then buy some Genz Benz speakers then please let me know!!! But seriously it is first and foremost an initiative to get people playing quality instruments, which I have to say strikes me as a bit dumb, surely it's better to get people playing any instruments/amps/music stands whatever. Hey ho, As mentined earlier, I would have walked away with a whole load of kit and Mark would have made a sale if we could have managed the interest free credit thingy.
and dangerously, he's introduces a 12 month interest free credit scheme.... Oh dear.
+1 on all of the positive comments, however the Interest Free is on 'quality' instruments not on amps etc, shame or else I'd have walked away with a tonnage of Genz Benz gear. If you're buying a higher end bass, game on!!!

How many valve amp owners carry a spare head in case of emergencies?

Always carry a spare head and a Sansamp DI box just in case. -

Bought Steve's Genz Benz Shuttle Max from him. Kit has been well looked after, boxed and with manuals. Really good guy to boot. Really easy to deal with and even delivered the amp. I have no hesitation in recommending Raggy as someone to buy from, top chap....!

Final part of the gut wrenching sale see's my workhorse cab for sale. 4 x 10 300w Ohm Cab with Horn. Great cab, great noise and good condition. Small superficial scratch on grill (pictured) and some carpet bubbling, I added one of the new trace badges cause the logo on there was a bit scraped, apart from that it's a marvellous cab. £270 with Cover and I do have a piece of TE green carpetting I will throw in with this or the other bits of TE gear on a first come first served basis. Any questions / queries please ask. Cheers

For Sale my TE 1518 Cab. Price £180 Does what it says on the tin....very well. No cone issues, cab is used but that's what you get I suppose. Last pic shows the worst of the carpet scuffs. I do have a roll of TE Green carpet that could go with this or the head or the 4 x 10 depending on who needs it. No trades please, need the cash. Thanks

This is my back up amp, bought about a 1 year ago. Am changing out my rig and will not be using this any longer. Price £230 a bargain! Great reliable amp, superb tone and totally flexible. Comes flightcase (not the greatest if I'm honest but functional) If you need more pics/info pls let me know. Am also selling my AH500-12, 1518 and 1048h is separate posts. Would only interested in trades for Genz Benz 2 x 10 cabs Cheers

For sale my workhorse. Am moving away from Trace to something new and need to shift my rig. I bought this as new old stock from GB Audio a few years back (He was the old Trace Service Manager who set up to service trace gear when they closed after the Gibson sale). I was told it was new and it certainly came in new condition. Had it serviced a year ago, dry joint issue, but works like a dream and is an awesome piece of kit. Have taken adivice on this and reckon that this should be worth £300. The last pic shows the only major scuff, a small hole in the top cover, haven't got a clue how it got there (not ciggy burn I know that). There are some scuff's but this does get gigged 4-5 times per month. If you need more info or pics please ask. No trades unless Genz Benz 2 x 10 cabs. Cheers

Go and speak with Moseley Violins Here in ahem Moseley, they did a cracking job of rebuilding and tarting up my bass. Unless you already have of course...!

You can't on my AH 500 as it's not enclosed once you take it out of the head case. The only option would be to build a metal case and put rack ears on it, which seems really hard work. I have an RAH 300-12 that I may be willing to part with. Any use?

It looks like, I'm going to have to shift some of my TE gear in order to have a rig swap out. I would like to get a feel for prices for the kit listed in my footer so I can see whether I can fund my new kit. Any experts out there??? (btw this is not the new style gear) Thanks
I prefer the more warm full tone of the Mark Bass amps....how was the 'distortion' on the LM Rocker?
TBH didn't try the MB for long tbh, just didn't seem right, am going back when I have more time to line 'em up and compare better. Got some good overdriven tones out of the MB, but didn't feel that the clarity was there on any of the settings I used, but again it was only a quick tryout. The GB seemed easier to get the tone / variety of tone that I need.
-
Just tried this and the Mark Bass Rocker at Bass Direct in Warwick. Really liked the GB, loud with a wide range of tones available, the Mark Bass seemed a bit muddy for my liking. I play in a pub covers band playing a variety of Indie, Punk etc and am looking for some lightweight gear, this seems to fit the bill, but would welcome the thoughts of anyone actually using the the stuff. Cheers
-
You can't fool us, technically you own 2 basses. I have a few more but can actually confirm that for the first time in years that I am not gassing for any basses whatsoever. Thinking of lighter weight cabs but apart from that nothing.........it feels great!

Hardest piece of music I have ever tried to play...
farmer61 replied to Bilbo's topic in Theory and Technique
There was a clue in there. I guess I was being too clever : PMRC In 1985, Dr. Joe Stuessy testified to the United States Congress at the Parents Music Resource Center hearings that: The message [of a piece of heavy metal music] may also be covert or subliminal. Sometimes subaudible tracks are mixed in underneath other, louder tracks. These are heard by the subconscious but not the conscious mind. Sometimes the messages are audible but are backward, called backmasking. There is disagreement among experts regarding the effectiveness of subliminals. We need more research on that.[86]
That whooshing noise is the whole of this thread passing over my head!
