Precisions of course. Jazzes necks are too skinny and the extra knob confuses me.
Jazzes of course. Jazz necks are perfect and the extra knob makes you look like a musician.

Someone give it a loving home...!
Hopefully it will be going to a loving home later today and the T-bird arrived tomorrow..happy days indeed!

Well done mate, not sure I'd be committing my DB efforts to tape quite yet, your points about Jake are spot on though. Waiting to arrange lesson 3 with him.....!
So what music you listening to right now? Lets see how much people's tastes vary... I'm currently listening to Skindred - Kiss and Make up... tuuuuuuuuune!
A New Found Glory - Sticks and Stones
Quite why you'd want to swap this for a thunderbird is beyond me......but good luck! Looks like a beauty! Si
It is a thing of beauty, but 4 Fenders is more than enough and I don't have enough funds for the T-Bird that's hopefully coming my way...!

Decided to part with this puppy to pay for a Gibo T-Bird, I've gone and bought....dammit! Olympic White, Tort pickguard and Maple Neck. New style case plus bits and bobs. I do use the case for my other Jazz so has been used more than the bass, but the orginal case will be shppied with the bass.. Bought in September from Reverb, gigged once, Excellent nick. I don't have to tell you about these baby's they're awesome, for me it's the sustain I get from it, but better players than me have been mighty impressed with the 2009 model, however I can't justify 2 Jazz's so this has to go. Please feel free to ask any questions or more pics.
Doesn't that have a bit of fuzz bass in it?
Don't know tbh, just thinking more along the lines of the chorus.....plus it would only have to be an approximation before people join in...?!?
Just found out Englands first game of the world cup against the USA is on at 8.30pm on Sat 12th June....which clashes with our gig at a pub in Bolton. Gonna see if we can set up early, watch the game, then go straight on and obviously play a bit later. Have you any idea's for England / football songs which we could play? I've thought of - Three Lions - Lightining Seeds We are the Champions - Queen.... Then I've got a bit stuck. Perhaps some tunes which would fit in with a St Georges Day gig we've got as well... I'd prefer to keep the tunes 'PC' ish....! Ta , Ian
A version of "Vindaloo" would prob go down a storm We've purposly not arranged gigs on match days, too much risk of atmosphere going flat after the game, plus we can watch 'em all!!!!
Oh, and neck dive is not really an issue with the studio model! There is about 4 or 500 quid of a difference between the Tbird and TBird studio
I'm guessing that the Studio is the chepaer model??? Cheers
Yeah, we sometimes take a feed from the kitchen without the venue staff knowing. In fact sometimes we get told to do this by the venue staff.
+1 it's the only way to beat 'em.

Yep, it was the most humiliating experience I've ever had playing. Played the first set and played really well we thought then got asked at half time not to go back on because the "sound wasn't cutting through to the back" !!?!!! Got paid but had to wait around until the DJ had finished at about 1am before we could start to pack up. Couldn't drink the free beer cause I was driving, so took it home instead. Had a sh*te couple of hours waiting to leave the venue as we discussed the real reason for being asked not to go back on. Still have bad thoughts about the night and still refer back to it when booking gigs at new venues!! Horrible!
Heh, I've just come up with a 16th reason - band objectives are ill-defined or non-existent. But yes, you're right. I should just tell him "I don't want to play for free to 5 people." And if that's a deal-breaker for him, then he can find a bass player who will. S.P.
If you're spending time drawing up lists with 16??? reasons for leaving, you should have left a while ago!
Saw them Sunday in Swindon. Seen them both loads of times, and they just seem to get better. The bass Damned Stu was using was an ESP Viper (I think thats what its called) have seen him with a few other ESP's. And Lemmy has just got such a cool stage presence. Girlschool wernt bad either, took me right back Best gig I have been to in a long time.
I was there too, ears ringing for days afterwards............Killed by Death - Brilliant

The Strawbs in Swindon circa '73 with my older brother. First gig with mates, unsupervised - Quo at the Hammersmith Odean - '77 - big adventure and great gig!!!!!
A Rickenbacker 4001/3 I'm in the 'they look cool' camp. Some of my favourite players have used one. They seem to be ridiculously expenxsive at the moment though. A 5 or more string Even though the last three bands I've seen where the bassist has had one they've never touched the B string. Still I'd like to re enforce or overcome my prejudice. A Hofner To see if it really is more than a shoe box with elastic bands. An active Yep. I really haven't. Maybe a Stingray is up my street? An Upright Looks like fun. I've tried most of the other stuff I wanted to.
Get yerself westwards and you can have a go on 3 of the 5
