Wondering if they could be paired up with a more powerful head.
The cabs are rated at 8 ohms and the wattage is 60/65 Edit for correction "The amp is rated at 8 Ohms minimum load, hence the speakers are each rated at 16 Ohms"
 2. Do you know I haven't, how stupid is that? Arggh! **Edit Just spoken with the shop who are going to try and take some pics pre repair. Thanks for the idea/reminder
 3.
I saw someone gigging in our local pub with one of these, i was surprised it kept up but it did, sounded pretty good too.
Blimey, it sounds fantastic, but I'm not sure I'd want to gig it, would need to be a mellow or acoustic band. Great for home use though...
 4.
Hi farmer, Is this still for sale? Cheers, John
Pm'd and bump - still for sale
 5.
Well that is an addon to having the mic there. Originally they suggested just having the mic to add to the banter but I wasnt keen on it being there just to talk sh*t.
It's funny what you probably term as talking sh*t, I count as probably an important bit of the gig. I talk sh*t all gig and try and get some laughs in the audience, I'm an average bassist at best but can make up for my shortfalls by generating a bit of banter with the audience. People come to most venues I play (pubs) for a good night out, bit of a laugh and a sing and jump around. They don't come to hear me play Hysteria note perfect (thank goodness!). We all get knockbacks, I still haven't got over one particular gig, I wanted to go back there to gig for free just so show 'em we were good (got out voted 4 to 1).
 6.
It was suggested that I attempt some backing vox to try and bring me out my shell. Not entirely convinced I can do it but will set up a mic at practice so I can give it a go. Its all well and good attempting it in my living room but put me on the spot and its sink or swim. Nothing to lose after all it is just practice.
Sounds like a confidence thing to me. Try having some internal banter, say with the drummer to bring you out a bit. In quiter gigs I'll try and latch onto anyone who's a bit vocal and try and have a laugh with them, if people see the band are open to banter then people join in and cut you some slack. My band were once told that we sound great but didn't look like a band (which I sort of understand as our singer and guitarist don't engagae with the audience or the rest of the band)
 7.
I had a conversation about this a while ago with the secretary of one of the WMC we regularly play at. He is firmly of the opinion that if the band looks as if they are enjoying what they are doing, they will bring the audience with them. In his view the order is the right songs, presentation, looking as if you are enjoying it, and musical ability within reason a long way last. Certainly I have seen less talented bands go down better some great bands, when they show some enthusiasm and look as if they want to please. I always think status quo are really good showmen, their music APPEARS simple, but they always look as if they are giving it 110% and the audience responds. Obviously it depends on the band and who you are. My comments relate to places like WMC where you are playing to the average non musical punter who wants to have a dance.
+1 but goes for all venues IMO
 8. Come on, great band and I want out of there by Feb at the latest.........
 9. Well after hankering after a Double Bass, I managed to get hold of a battered one from my local education authority FOC, the bass was about to be chucked as "uneconomical to repair" So I've taken it to a respected specialist who is going to repair and refurb the bass for £300. Once done he reckons it'll be worth £900....hooray! He thinks it's a solid wood Romanian Built 3/4 bass circa 1970's, neck, bridge and strings are fine, needs re-glueing and varnishing but should come up a treat. I want some battle scars left on it but it will be a thing of beauty I am sure. I am really excited to get this baby back once it's been sorted. Just thought I'd share my news!!!
 10.
Due to some life changing decisions I know a band that could be looking for a bassist to join an established covers band. The band is actually one of mine, I've decided to concentrate on one band leaving a vacant position in Uncle Jack, web details below. Pubs, Private work gigging on average twice per month. Already booking up gigs for 2010. Varied setlist, but rock cover biased (no originals). The guys are keen to keen going and are looking for a suitable replacement. Please feel free to ask any questions before I put you in touch with the guys.
Bump for situation update.
 11. Bump - break from decorating!

 13.
Yeah, I'm interested. If you could PM me an idea of the shipping costs when you know, that'd be great.
Pm'd
 14. Welcome Mark, Drummer in my band - Monkey Dolls is a MASSIVE Weller/Jam fan and rides a scooter. Not my bag to be honest but to each their own. Enjoy your time here!!!!
Hi Name is Mark and I play in a Paul Weller/Mod Tribute band called Wellalive. 15.
GUSH. Want this a lot. If you'd had put this up in a couple of months time, I'd have seriously considered putting in an offer.
OR about 4 weeks ago............arghhhhh!
 16.
Make sure my bowels are evacuated, have one bottle of beer, have two bananas (an old drummer friend of mine said something about natural beta-blockers, that reduce the adrenaline uptake/effect, actually I just like bananas) and compulsively check my cables are all wired up correctly.
Bananas seem to act as a laxative for me so I'd personally stay clear..... I have Steak Chips and Gravy in the afternoon and no beer at all before hand. A pint of iced water and double check what we're playing first................
 17. Welcome on board and enjoy the ride!
 18.
How many watts will it put out? Could you post it?
It is rated at 65w, don't have original boxes but sure could sort something out. Could sort out shipping costs on Friday if interested.

 20.
PM'd
And replied, Cheers
 21. I have one of these that is surplus to requirements as I now have a 3rd TE Amp in the house!!!! Perfect nick, only ever used for practice at home and very well looked after, never been driven hard. Looking for the £130 mark I reckon shipping in the UK will be about £25, I have the original boxes for the speakers, can't find the oringinal box for the head, I have one basschatter who seems interested who I'll give priority to other than that it's freely available. Thoughts???

 23. Rise Against (if I didn't have to become vegitarian) also I'd like to be Tony Levin in Peter Gabriel's band Oh and I'd like to have been in the Sensational Alex Harvey Band circa 72-79 (Chris Glen was and still is damn cool in my book)
 24. I have one, tis a great piece of kit!!!
 25. I once met Bruce Dickinson backstage at a Maiden concert and said, "Bruce I don't want to look like a c**t, but can I have your autograph" Bet he thought "what a c**t" Doh!
