1.
Yes, Limehouse Lizzy are brilliant ( Live and Dangerous played live....wow ) and also seen The Australian Pink Floyd and they were note for note Floyd with a very similar light show.
Yep me to saw them at the Cousldon Hall in Bristol, shut your eyes and you were almost there! G2 (Genesis covers) were also very good and the bassist had some excellent moog peddles (although the volume was strangely turned down)
2. Seen both Hells Bells and Live Wire and for my money Hells Bells were better. HOWEVER as someone above states only the rhythm guitarist and vocalist are left from the first time I saw them. They also had a very annoying habit of playing a first set of covers, the worst being Jump by VH (I HATE that song!!!). Saw Hells Bells last June and they weren't as good as first few times seen, they've lost something with the change of Angus IMO. Met them at a Motorhead gig in Brizzle and they seemed ok guys. I also saw a geordie 'DC covers band at one of the "Music Live" events demonstrating Marshall gear and they were excellent, can't for the life of me remember their name though. As for covers bands don't think you can beat Limehouse Lizzie for me!
3. Ahem Good Bits I know my limitations Good organiser Great gear Good prescence on stage Ok vocals Can learn new stuff quickly Good timing Bad Bits I accept my limitations Under practice No slap Poor improvisation Need notations and words Getting fatter by the minute No hair to speak of Middle aged pretending to be 20
4.
Thanks for the comments. Yeah I remember the gig there. Weren't you playing a gig that night too? I remember chatting and maybe that was you?
We wre chatting on the stage (!) afterwards, not playing that night but we had played that venue a while back. Was a good gig although I'm not a blues fan per se. Also saw you guys with Walter Trout at the Arts centre in Swindon later in the year I think. Does that make me a stalker? Will pass on your regards to Fraser when I see him!
5. Hey Steve, I really like the site, be really good when the last few pages are done. Btw I think we've met when you were playing with Ian Parker in Swindon. I was with Fraser Tilley at the "Famous Ale House" in Swindon I think Fraser may have even have been promoting the gig for Ian. So it's fair to say I've seen you play......unless I've dropped a complete bollock and it wasn't you. Any good start to the site and good luck Julian
6. This is what I use at home and would use at a gig when needsbe. Note cut away front for big bollocked drummers and bass players or in built airflow system for small bollocked drummers and bass players......ahem ps it's a Pearl Roadster Drum Throne..
7. Kicks ass on the bass. NO Wants to take over the world. NO Is committed to rocking out and making amazing music. Erm...NO Is a strong character with a big personality and a good look. YES, YES and erm..........NO Wants to rehearse/play/tour 24/7 with a professional band and just generally have the best time ever! NO I live in Swindon though, let me see what the wife thinks
8. First time out for us at this venue and we're on a percentage of takings. Anyone local come along and buy lots of beer...........please..........thanks
9.
I wouldn't like her indoors to think that I take my wedding ring off to play and wouldn't fancy losing it either.
Take it off when playing, better for attracting groupies or put it on your right "wedding" finger, personally take mine off as it gets in the way abit, I've been married so long that wearing a ring or not is not an issue.
10. Covers band Uncle Jack - www.unclejackweb.co.uk or www.myspace.com/unclejackweb. Prepare to be underwhelmed
11. A two for one special offer. Me shouting and Icepick (Vern) playing my Ric in Dec 06. Happy days!
12. Got one of these puppies, it sounds and looks fantastic although I don't think they're made anymore. Only 65w with 2 x 10in speakers. May still be able to pick one up second hand somewhere
13.
Here he is at O2 with Tobias http://www.gigwise.com/article?id=46088&image=24#gallery
I thought the bass mix was very poor, surprisingly the drums were coming through loud and clear!
14. I'm trying to take someones Stingray 5 off of their hands, hopefully will complete a deal soon.
15. The Greyhound in Amesbury for us, they wanted to book us for New Years Eve after our soundtrack, which was strange 'cause it wasn't very good. We played well to a smallish audience of regulars and a few in for the music. Played our usual 3 hours odd, so sore fingers, sore ears but good fun. Good little venue although our lights tripped the electrics a couple of times! Next up the Huntsman in Salisbury, first time on the % of the takings, just hope a good crown in!
16. I'm intrigued, so I bought a copy off of ebay for a fiver!

19.
Hi. Yep. I'd be happy to buy it from you for £100. I will need it posting, so can you let me know a cost. Thanks, Stu.
Can you PM me a location so I can work out a shipping cost. Thanks Julian
20.
Replied. Thx
I guess so, where to??? I've got an old trace box somewhere in the garage and I can get it onto a courier for whatever it costs. Cheers Julian

22.
You should be able to check by looking through the port holes. If you can pull a port tube out (don't know if they're glued), you should be able to see the plies of the baffle.
RIGHT, the port tube is getting pulled tonight and confirmation will be posted on here later, can everyone please standby! btw one small matter, is there anyone out there who actually wants to buy the thing?
23.
Not wishing to cause issues but my (admittedly later) version was MDF...
Hmmm I may have to stand corrected, or I may just have to take the thing apart to check. I'll only do the later if someone is genuinely interested though.
