Hey!!

That's an interesting hobby Welcome to BC. You're probably being a bit optimistic if you expect to be anything other than crap after only playing for a week. If you started playing cos some guitard told you "it's only got 4 strings so it's easy" now you can tell him He's full of sh*t.
2. The listing's ended without the reserve being met and He's relisted it BIN £800 I'm seriously tempted by this. It's not original by a long way so is it worth £800? In the current market I would think that's on the high side. I'd be interested in hearing any opinions. 3.
Fender Mike Dirnt P-Bass, i have modded it to the extent to which it can no longer be associated with green day.
Good move I've always liked the look of those basses but the association with MD and GD has put me off buying one. Perhaps I shouldn't be such a gear snob Anyway, welcome to BC
4. Fantastic. Bruce Foxton is my favourite bassist of all time and Foxton/Buckler my favourite rythm section. I started playing the bass after listening to The Jam and at one time I could put on a Jam record and play every single bassline.

6. Ah, I missed that. I've noticed listings for vintage stuff selling on there with the item location as Sherman Oaks with other usernames too, so I guess he must have several identities. Yeah, can't imagine why
7.
Probably the most comprehensive set of pics I've seen on ebay
Yeah you can't fault Tune_O_Matic for the quality of his listings. Pity about the personality though
8. Feel free to introduce yourself in the intro section before advertising E-bay listings on here.
9. I've always found the Ashdown VU meter to be very useful for setting the input level, certainly easier to use than the normal light arrangement. Just set it so you get the sound you like and don't worry about blowing your speakers. The output level is determined by the knob on the other end of the amp
10.
cool....do people have to pay postage?
It'll probably be less than a quid so hardly seems worth it but.....sorry Marcus, Jase beat you to it
11. I've got a 3-ply white scratchplate for a USA Jazz. It's a genuine Fender part still sealed in its packaging. Part number is 099-1335-000 I don't think I'll ever use it and I can't even remember why I've got it so free to a good home. Edit: I don't know why the part number keeps disappearing so if anyone needs it I'll PM it.
12.
Greetings, I have come to this forum because of my recent exile from Talkbass
Hooray. Banned from TB. Respec It seems to be remarkably easy to pick up an "infraction" on there. TB mods = pompous arses
13. 1) Relicking....groan 2) Mojo 3) Old basses which sell for stupid amounts of money, especially Fenders but other makes seem to be getting dragged into this lunacy
14.
I play a 1969-71 Gibson eb3 with two sidewinder humbuckers with high action(I love high action) and play through a Orange ad-200 with a 410 orange cab.
Eek, I'll bet the moles and earthworms round your way don't get a lot of sleep Welcome to BC. Far superior to TalkBass
15. Welcome to BC. I'm sure you'll find all the info you need here plus you'll probably get a nasty dose of GAS But stay away from Denmark St (See thread in General bass discussion)
16.
You gotta share it with us ;-)
Yeah I'd be interested to hear it too
17. Bothering each other is what this forum is for Welcome to BC
18. Surely the guy selling it now and the original buyer who paid £931 are not the same person? There was some debate as to whether it was a genuine CS in the last auction and that time the buyer was Beedster, late of this forum. I'd like to know what's happened to that bass in the meantime. Unfortunately He's not here to ask. Edit: Clarky you beat me to it
19. Welcome to BC
