  1. Just going from the information provided previously on this threat by a fellow basschatter. I’ve checked on the Fender website and it appears non specific about which colour were alder and which were ash, so I’ve amended the listing not mentioning the body wood.
  2. What an absolutely class gig, sadly I’ve too far many commitments presently to throw my hat into the ring… good luck with finding a replacement.. Great band. 👍
  3. Priced to sell. So I’m shallow and weak willed and want to own one of these in black so this beauty has to go to help fund it. Great 50’ s P bass in lovely Dakota Red, Maple neck, good condition, slight scuffs to the scratch plate, no dings or dents. I’ve gigged this loads this year and it always sounds great, I just want a black one……sad I know. Weighs in at 8lbs, no back breaker. Collection from Milton Keynes or postage an option if required. Any questions just let me know. Steve
  4. As far as i'm aware it does, however I have only used it with the Aguilar in it (which sounds awesome btw)
  5. For Sale is my very rare Musicman USA Sub Sterling, which I purchased from this forum a year or so ago, I have used some of the details from the original sellers post to ensure the correct details are included as the refinish and mods were completed by him. This is not the cheaper Sterling by Musicman model - it was made in the Musicman USA factory. It’s refinished in Sonic Blue Nitro and the neck has been stripped and finished with gunstock oil and is very skinny, smooth and fast. The preamp has been upgraded to Aguilar 3 Band with Switchable Mid and push/pull for passive mode by The Gallery. Also swapped are the pickup cover and knobs to white/cream although the originals of both are available. The scratch plate has been switched to black, however I also have a cream pearl, tort and original plates included, as are the original electrics. It had the odd mark on it, however nothing dramatic. It’s very lightweight for a Musicman (4kg/8.8lbs) and is a genuinely great bass. Currently strung with rounds. I have an old case, so while collection or meet would be preferred, I could potentially post if necessary. Any questions, just let me know. Cheers Steve
  6. Bought a pedal from Chris, easy to deal with, pedal arrived really well packaged and as described. Highly recommended .
  7. Thanks for the heads up, i'm a member of that group and may post it there, I've always been a bit wary of scammers on FB though.
  8. Using the trusty bathroom scales technique, It's weighting in at 8 lbs, its certainly no heavyweight.
  9. Brand new (unopened) Nordstrand MM2 pickup. I bought this from Bass Direct but have since picked up a bass with one already installed and so this is completely brand new and now surplus to requirements. Price is posted (UK). Cheers
  10. FINAL REDUCED Price £180. If this doesn't go now, I’ll just leave it as a fabulous Japanese made wall hanging ornament. This is a recently acquired MIJ SGC Nanyo, bass Collection active 4 string bass. Serial number dates this as being built in 1991. These are well made and well respected Japanese built basses, but for some reason I am just not jelling with it at all so time to pass it on. It has a few little nicks and marks on it which you might expect for a 32 year old bass, but overall its a pretty clean and tidy example of one of these. It sets up nicely, truss and electrics all work as they should. Great Japanese build quality at very little cost, possibly open to trades, especially a Markbass traveller 115 or 210 cab, but anything else just drop me a message. Based in Milton Keynes, I don't have a case for this, so collection or local (ish) meet preferred.
  11. Here is my Bass Collection "Black n Blocks" up for sale. It is stock, with no changes, but does have the better quality Babicz bridge that these now come with new. New these now Retail at £545. There are a few light surface scratches on it but you have to look for them. The neck is pristine with no marks or dints at all. If you want a maple boarded Jazz, that sounds exactly like a jazz should without breaking the bank, then this may well be the bass for you. Comes with it's Bass Collection Gig Bag. Only up for sale to help fund the purchase of another bass up for sale on the forum. Collection or meet up preferred, but could post if necessary. Any questions, just let me know. Cheers
  12. Hi I sold a bass to Pete, good communication and payment, no issues at all, very recommended basschatter.
  13. For sale is my Godin Shifter 4 bass, made in Canada and not to be confused with the Classic series which came later. This bass has a 5 way pick up selecter, however the sixth option of push pull on the tone knob to isolate the next pick up has been removed, but I guess an easy change if you so wanted. Give a great selection of tonal options, the neck is really comfortable and fast and has been lightly sanded in the past as well. Original white pick ups and scratch plate included along with the black set its currently wearing. There are a few reviews for these online, so google is your friend here. Its a lovely bass, but just gathering dust as its not getting played. Collection or meet up fairly close to Milton Keynes. Any questions, just ask.
  14. Here's my Bass Collection Jive Bass in beautiful King Crimson. Only mark on her is a 5p size ding just below the bridge strap button (see pics) East preamp removed, this is now with its original passive VVT control plate. These are probably the best bang for your buck of any J style in this price range and considering the new ones have just increased in price, grab a great bargain on a great bass. Only selling as I have far too many J style basses atm. Collection or meet within an hour of Milton Keynes preferred. Any questions, just let me know. PS. Dog NOT included, I just couldn't shift his lazy derrière when taking the pics. Cheers
