1. That's great wish I'd known about that
2. Yes they are a broker but you do everything through them it's maddening that they have no email or phone contact. Also I did have insurance they just don't want to pay out.
3. Parcel Monkey
4. Update: Sent two letters they ignored the first one second they responded to and said the same as before wasn't packaged properly etc. I was advised by citizens advice to use an alternative dispute resolution service. If they don't do anything its off to small claims court.
5. It was for the open university, the female bass player was Yolanda Charles I have it on VHS somewhere lol.

9.
Be persistent, name them and point them to this thread. All their initial responses will be standard issue, just to put you off and make you give up. The damage to your goods is significant, and that means serious neglect on their part. As a community there must be a lot of money spent here sending stuff around the country/world, so we need to know which couriers to avoid (I know its a long list!) No bubble wrap in existence would have saved your cab...
Thanks, yeah I spoke to CItizens Advice they said send a letter recorded. Saying the service was not done with reasonable care and I am entitled to seek damages. I need to state a deadline as well. I completely agree it could have been packed with double the amount of bubble wrap and cardboard and it still would have been damaged. I have also told them this process is being watched on a very large musician forum and members are very interested how they deal with this. They ignored that last statements by the way.
10. Was the cab purchased from a company or an individual ? Individual How did you pay for it ? Paypal/Credit card The guy I bought it from didn't wanna send it but we came to an arrangement and I sorted it all. I don't wanna take the guy to task over this, I trust the guy it was fine when it left him. The fact is this thing survived years of gigging etc but less than 24hrs with the couriers = huge damage. I'm not having it from the couriers. I paid them for a service (insured) they broke it and now changing the goal posts to suit them.
11. Basically they are saying yeah we probably broke it but you should have packed according to the abuse we were gonna give it. It was packed with a huge amount of bubble wrap a thick padded cover (very nice one) and double layer cardboard. I'm dealing with it as I organised and paid for it to be picked up
12. Company is Parcel Monkey The greatest care is taken when parcels are handled by hand during the sorting processes. However, whilst Handle With Care labeling would ensure careful manual handling, this would not affect the mechanised sorting processes. Being a reseller passing thousands of parcels each week to the designated couriers, our partners have to use mechanised sorting systems. Therefore, goods despatched on our services have to be packaged correctly in order to withstand the rigors of our mechanical sorting processes. Please be assured that the vast number of parcels despatched on our services are delivered without incident and that the occurrence of damage is rare. Kindly note we made you aware that all items must be correctly packaged before transit, that is sufficient amount of bubble wraps must be used to wrap the item. We then advise customers to use additional cushioning materials to ensure all edges are covered as well then use a strong cardboard box as the outer packaging. Taking into consideration all of the above I regret I cannot change the status of your claim. I recognise this is not the response you were hoping for and I am sorry I cannot offer a more favourable reply. Once again please accept my apologies for the inconvenience and concern which this matter has clearly generated.
13. Reply from courier. So it beings, here we go on this huge stupid game. After further assessment of the above reference claim, we regret to inform you that your claim was not successful for compensation. The packaging used in support of consignment XXXXXXXXX was found to be in sufficient. Item of such nature should be fully wrapped with large bubble wraps, cushioned with foams, polystyrene and boxed in a strong cardboard box. Since the item was not adequately packed unfortunately we had to reject your claim. Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused.
14. I had one and I replaced the original speaker with a Kappa Pro was a big improvement. Might be an idea
15. Bit of a trip for me but I will try to make it
16. We had a lovely time. Even came away with a Bass which is a bonus!!! Hope too see you again in September. Thanks Nik
17. Just picked up the Roscoe Beck V from Nik yesterday. I can only say it's the best music related purchase I have ever made. He made it all easy with great communication and was so very welcoming at his house. My 4 year old son even made a new friend in "Lazerbeak" which is priceless. Thanks Nik
18. Just spoke to Marshall they said the speakers are £90 each not quiet as bad as I thought. But they did say that it really must have been one hell of a bang it took, never heard of anything like it before with this stuff. Just hope the crossover and all the other stuff isn't damaged.
19.
Was it Insured? I had a similar incident with a Schroeder Cab that was sent via Interparcel. When it arrived there was an ominous rattling around inside the package and one of the magnets had sheared off the driver. Fortunately it was insured and they paid for a new driver.
Yeah its insured, just hope they don't start messing me around about it. I'm pretty annoyed about it really if i do get the funds back not sure if its even worth trying to repair it or it would cost more than its worth.
20.

It'll buff out right?
21. Just received a Eden 210XLT through a courier today. Before I even open the box i noticed the box was a bit dirty (bad sign No1) move the box and something rolled around in the package (bad sign No2) Opened the package its looks perfect but something is really rolling around in there. I open the back up and see carnage One chassis is ripped off the other cracked all the way around. This must have been dropped from a hell of a height right? The cones look perfect from outside
22. It sure is a pretty one good luck with the sale
23. Yeah well spotted looks like a replacement fingerboard.
Is it me or does that look like the fingerboard has been replaced? Warwicks usually have a scalloped type edge where it meets the body? Check the neck is straight and truss rod is ok too if possible.
24. That old girl has certainly seen some action, not the best job done on the added EQ which a shame. It's probably worth "somewhere" near there on a good day.
25. My experience is mixed I bought an amp from them which on the whole was a good experience etc like others. I bought some strings online, not so great they sent an incorrect set for what was listed. I have to send back the strings at my expense (which I suppose is ok) but they wouldn't send the correct set until they had received the incorrect set back and I had paid the "£1" difference for the different/correct set. I did mention that I needed the strings asap as I had a weekend with loads of work etc but deaf ears I suppose. Had to suck it up as mistake to buy from there. Shame as I was about to make a few big purchases from them in the speaker department. Now I think ill try elsewhere, i'd be stupid to mess around with them with big money when they do that over something that is pure customer service issues.
