  1. I just got the Hartke 210 combo with neo drivers for £439, it`s amazing the output you get for a 1 man lift from the car!!
  2. [attachment=13431:3_004.jpg][attachment=13432:3_006.jpg][attachment=13433:3_001.jpg]Hey guys, I`m new on here tho` been bassing for 20 years! Just bought this bass few months back because my old Washburn mb5 was too heavy and I don`t really need 5 strings, but the tone doesn`t suit my band I`m in, it`s made of bubinga which gives it a really snappy sound with a wonderful mid range, whereas I prefer more of a big bottom end and high treble. Obviously in the shop you just can`t tell can you!! I`ve tried e.q. ing to get the sound I want but it`s not quite there, so is it too soon to sell on, I know I`m gonna lose some cash, but there you go ??!! I`d appreciate any ideas or feedback from you learned people.........
  3. Thanks guys, ( or gals..... ), so many of you from Chelmo ! Just a little plug for my band Dark Star, we`re doing our 1st ful set ( well 6 songs....) at Zinc nightclub in Southend this Sunday 14th, drop along if you fancy a bit of hard rock in the style of AC/DC, Tesla, UFO. We`re going to struggle to get it all right but there`s no better way to learn than on the job!!!!! Don`t know if anyone remembers my metal band Mentally Yours from the 1990`s, we played Chelmsford Army and Navy a few times, great little venue, shame it went. Thanks again for the welcomes.
  4. [attachment=13245:BAND_001.jpg]Hi to everyone, I`m sykilz, located in south Essex, been playing for 20 years, mostly in a metal band, now doing rock originals in Dark Star, just starting to gig again after a break to have small ones! I`m currently playing a Washburn mb-5 thats about 14 years old, weighs a ton but sounds great, and a new Wasburn force 4 which is very light but not sure about the sound yet, more of a funky bass. I`m using a Hartke hydrive 2x10 which is also new, having sold on my Hartke ha 3500 head and Peavey 4x10 cab, which was a silly thing to do looking back!! Looking forward to being a member, though am new to this kind of thing, so be gentle with me.....!!! Here`s a bit of an arty type photo of my ancient Washburn, I love those pointy headstocks!!!
