I suspect it is something to do with the valves. I’ve just playing through it & it sounds normal again! i did take the cover off the other day, and I decided I wasn’t going to risk taking the valves out, as you say, they are in a very restricted space. My local music shop does repairs, so I think I’ll just take in and let them sort it out. Thanks for your replies.

My GK MB500 Fusion has developed a problem. When it is switched on, the volume is low and the sound is scrunchy/crackly, this is the same on both the A and B channels and makes no difference if it is used with speakers or headphone only. I have tried using a 1/4" jack into the send & return sockets on the effects loop, with no change in sound. I was wondering if it is maybe the valves. Does anyone have any ideas? Also does anyone know a good amp repairer in the Harrogate/ Leeds/ York area? Thanks in advance.

You got me with the french quote Marc, I wouldn't even attempt to write that down but still an album I regularly listen to.

Don't forget young Jan Palak, he burnt a torch against the Warsaw Pact!

+ three for Rattus. Also consider Euroman Cometh by JJ Burnel, fantastic grindy bass lines, guaranteed to rattle your speakers!

Just got a scratchplate off Gary, great service. Would deal with him again.

I play a Jazz with a pick all the time and I also play close to the bridge and have never had a problem catching the bridge pick up.

Just received the GK MB500 Fusion head off Jack. I ordered it on Friday & received it today, with a bank holiday in between! Excellent service, a pleasure to do business with! I'll try it out tonight. Thanks Jack. Cheers Andy

I am about to buy a Genz Benz Streamliner 600 amp, which I am going to pair with my two Fender Rumble 1 x 12 v3 cabs. The cabs are rated at 500 watts program and 250 watt continuous at 8 ohm. I just wanted to confirm that they will be compatible and I'm not going to fry anything.

E Mailed John on the 20th December, ordered a loom for my Squier Jazz on the 22nd and received said loom on the 24th! Fantastic service. I'll be ordering another one fairly soon.

New loom ordered from Kiogon!

I know what you mean about ebay but I found it by accident. Would this circuit be one you would be able to provide Kiogon and would it give the bass more oomph, for want of a better term? Also, what would the cost be. Thanks

I have a Squier Vintage Modified 77 Jazz Bass which has a bit of a thin sound compared with my Mexican Jazz. I have seen this loom on Ebay, which look interesting.
