  1. The positions in the chain are possibly exacerbated by your choice of power supply. This is far less likely to happen with balanced, grounded outputs.
  2. ODB-3, yuk. If only there were an ODB-2 then BOSS would have done it right.
  3. Noy strictly on topic but these are easily overlooked: Tony Levin's work with Paula Cole eg feelin love Jon Evans' playing with Tori Amos eg a sorta fairytale, riot proof, sweet sangria Jon Thorne with Lamb on the Fear of fours album. Tori Y Moi's first album has fantastic basslines, simple melodic and perfect.
  4. There are loads of mids & suble overdrive on that sound. Has more to do with the amp/re amping than the bass used in that video. I would start with a lightly driven "tube" model in your DAW and use some wide band mid eq and maybe two treble notch cuts in the right places.
  5. Hi all, I have an excellent condition Jazz V with no obvious wear to speak of to trade for an equivalent dimension. I might also be open to trade for a Sterling 5 and be open to add cash depending how new either bass is. This particular jazz has had the active EQ replaced with passive tone/volume pots and a small selector switch. Cheers Winton
  6. Logically, the Stringrays used by famous players only have marginally different specs so how different wouls a signature be? The sig guitars on the other hand are usually very different from one another.
  7. Fuzz dog kits are UK based and good value. They're bass friendly too and come with appropriate capacitors to keep low end. I recently put the blender kit into my Hao Rust Ride.
  8. They wont age too much because people nowadays own too many to wear one out significantly.
  9. Fuzzdog kits do a blender circuit for £12 that I've just installed into a Hao Rust ride. Thanksfully no Phasing issues and it works fine but unless you can read a schemo quite well it might be hard to predict if it will work or not.
  10. EBMM are very pricey considering the competition and construction. The Cutlass is a bit odd, like if a P is an adult, the cutlass looks like a fat baby. Am i alone in this haha?
  11. The jazz cafe in Camden has some good funk/jazz gigs from time to time. For a cheaper option you can see jazz for a tenner in the smaller stage upstairs at Ronnie Scotts. All the decent shops have been covered for the most part. The bass gallery in Camden is my fav personally although its cramped.
  12. As the broker the fault lies more with UPS in this case. Its Roulette with the companies as getting a bad driver is a just a case of luck. Hope it gets sorted.
  13. The isoacoustic stands are also really good for having on a desk and do have a slight improvement in clarity
