  1. Hi, It's a Wilkinson MWBP Alnico vintage PB-style single coil pickup, really nice sounding! The fret buzz is caused by a high fret on the 7th or 8th fret. It just needs a bit of filing or sandpapering down which is beyond my skill set but I'm sure a YouTube video would show you how to sort it if you are handy. The neck is perfect, a lovely feel to it and frets are absolutely fine and the action on this is nice and low. Thanks Jim
  2. Good job! Where is the body from?
  3. PRICE DROP TO £SOLD I have to sell a couple of my basses due to the Mrs getting the hump with my new one arriving. Here is my relic 51 P-Bass copy which is based on a Harley Benton. The neck has the headstock reshaped & wood stain aged to look like a fender and a waterslide applied. The machine heads and neck plate are from a mexican P Bass. It has an added ashtray over the bridge. The bridge is a Babicz full contact. Between frets 8/9 on the D & G string there is some fret buzz (a dressing would sort this but it's beyond my skills) but apart from that a lovely low action, nice neck and has a fine set of Fender flatwounds on which are practically new. I'd prefer pickup from the Dartford (kent) area but if you want to arrange a courier then I can wrap this up for you. NO CASE INCLUDED.
  4. Thank you! I am mighty chuffed to be in the club!
  5. Just took delivery of my new Limelight Bass and I'm over the moon. Before I go into specs I'd just like to say what a pleasure it was dealing with Mark and his advice and communication during the build process was absolutely first class. If you are thinking of dealing with Cool & Classic Guitars, do not hesitate at all. Right, I wanted an early 1970’s Jazz Bass in Sonic Blue, lightly relic. I play a lot in drop D so also got Mark to put a Hipshot Xtender on this along with reverse tuners. Here is the spec: Hand rolled finger board Maple J width neck with black dots and side marker dots Parchment scratchplate Barrel bridge (threaded) Reverse Gotah tuners Hipshot Xtender Period correct early 1970’s Fender Jazz Bass logo Thumb rest below strings Genuine Fender neck pick up cover (aged to match) Vintage wiring Switchcraft Jack I've got a set of Fender flat wound strings on it and I just can't get over how amazing it plays, feels and looks! Very happy!
  6. Will split. £100 for the Amp (collection or meet), £55 for the hot plate (£55 posted).
  7. Black "Bitsa" Precision Bass with Entwistle PBXN pickups 👍🏼
  8. I imagine so, Mark produces some top class work. Ping him a message on here: http://classicandcoolguitars.co.uk/contact/
  9. Just playing it now. These Entwistle pickups are fantastic!
  10. Here is my Precision Bitsa. Body, electronics, machine heads and bridge all from here on Basschat. The neck was a generic P Bass neck off eBay with an added water slide decal. I have a pair of Entwistle PBXN pickups with replacement white covers. Got it strung with Fender flatwounds and it sounds and plays bloody amazing! A very happy bassist here!
  11. Wow! She is lovely! Congratulations!
  12. Congratulations and happy birthday/NBD! The picture won't load for me, any chance you can post directly on this thread please? Just waiting for mine to be delivered and then I'll be having a NBD too.......
  13. Entwistle pickups are superb and a bargain. I've got them in my p bass and they growl!
  14. The valves hang downwards. Here are a couple of photos. If anyone is interested in this, I am away from this coming Tuesday 20th September for a week so I won't be able to respond on here or meet during this time.
  15. Thanks Lozz. I love the black/maple look too!
  16. £110? Great condition as new and £40 off the new price!
