1. Thanks for the useful info Dave, very helpful! Out of interest.....do you/can you make these cables? If so, how much would they cost? Cheers
2. Hello, I wondered if someone could answer a question for me? I want to run a DHA rackmount unit from a Power Conditioner. I was thinking of making a cable which has a normal socket on one end and plug the other end into the Power Conditioner. I could then plug my normal 12v adapter into this then into the back of the DHA. Would this work ok? I think it would work I just wanted to check I wasn't being stupid Cheers, Jim.
3.
Helloooo? Who wants the pedal next?
Hi mate, Reading the thread, I think Joe has a list of people who want it and who should have it next. Cheers, Jim.
4. Barber and Tonefactor both SOLD. Metal Muff price drop, £30 including P & P.
Now with pictures and a Metal Muff.
5. Now with pictures and a Metal Muff.
6. Thanks for the extra info Steve! Creampie SOLD!
7. For sale... Electro Harmonix Pocket Metal Muff - Heavy metal firepower that fits in the palm of your hand. The little brother of the Metal Muff family is nasty. Carefully selected mid frequencies are switch selectable offering powerful, musical scoops. Slag simplicity. Fully boxed, as new condition. No longer required due to me now using rack multi effects. Brilliant little pedal. £SOLD Thanks, Jim.
8. I bought one of Dave's Bob The Blender pedals about a year ago. I've never had a problem with it at all. In the FX Blend loop I run a Barber LTD SR and an EHX Big Muff. I blend both back it to my clean sound and it works perfectly. I have never run any modulation effects through it though so I can't comment on these. Hope this is of some use.
9. Dave, it sounds wicked! Can you add a nozzle on it to make the Milk Frothy too!?! LOL!
10. Nice work Dave and TimFace, the clips sound excellent! Can you not do anymore of these please as I now want to buy one!!!!
11. Cool! Have you ever seen this? It explains all the switches and knobs.... RD Spec sheet
12. I have fiddled about with the switches but to be honest, I mostly leave them in the center position all the time. I find they can make the pickups a bit too hot for my liking. I will have another play with them when I re-string it with Flats, I might find a better sound. I think it sounds wicked as it is though! Do you have one?
hi there, do you use all the switches on the RD?
13. I must admit, i thought i was walking into a scene from a Mafia film! "Say hello to my little friend...BOOM!" LOL! It was an outdoor festival gig. The main area was covered over with plastic sheeting and the drummer had a small wooden stage built. I've got to say, it was probably the best "stage" I've played on. The lighting, sound and effects were fantastic.
14. Hi, These were taken at our gig on Saturday. They show my Gibson RD Artist and my Warwick Streamer Stage 1: Thanks, Jim.
15. Personally, I've always found Dave's prices very reasonable for the quality you get.
16.
Thx, yeah, I found that after I posted, will probably order from there, but I really need one of those cables that come with power bricks too, with 2 equal plugs on both ends, can't find it anywhere... Does anyone have an extra cable of those that could sell to me?
You need to speak to our very own OBBM. His website is http://www.bassic.co.uk/, he can make all sorts of quality cables for you.
17. DHA products are quality, I have used the VT1 Purist and currently own the VT1 Blender. You can get a very nice tone out of them. The DOD 250 in my opinion, looses too much bottom end for Bass. It has a good overdrive sound, I would go for the DHA though. I have never used the EHX pedal so I cannot comment. There are other options too, I have recently removed my Sansamp from my board because I prefer the overdrive grit from my Barber LTD SR.
18.
There's the pigtronix reissue of the EHX attack/sustain. That'll be alot of money tho. If you just want something to giv eyou tonnes of fuzzy sustain like a big muff - why not use a big muff? Just an idea.
I must admit I was thinking about it. The size of the bugger puts me off though. I would like a go on a Nano Metal Muff though to see if it will do the job. Thanks for your help.
19.
You don't want a delay pedal then, you want a sustainer You can get a P+C cheaper direct from Paul Crowther in NZ... if you can track him down!
Thanks for the advice, i'll check it out. Would you know of any good Sustainers you could recommend to me please?
20.
What are you looking for in your delay? long times? pristine repeats? dirty degradation of repeats?
I want a kind of Delay/Sustain effect which the Big Muff produces.
21.
They are £159 from machine head. Oh well....better get saving/selling then!! Can anyone recommend a good delay pedal too?
22.
I like that board, it's simple but high in quality. *thumbs up*
Thank you very much.
23. Good work chaps (and nice playing Higgie!). That's the sound I want to get! How much is a Prunes and Custard?
24. I just need to sort out a Muse/Hysteria sound, has anyone tried the EHX Nano Metal Muff or the Tonefactor Huckleberry? I think Steve (TaySte_2000) has one? It looks like we all like the Korg DT10!
