  1. I am in mind of the lost Dr Who episodes that were recovered from someone's loft after years of being thought of as irrevocably lost.... They weren't masters if I recall correctly. They got broadcast anyway.
  2. Both headstocks look good but I think I prefer the angled machine heads.
  3. That's a quote you want to keep amongst friends.
  4. I think it was the veneer on ply in the top right that confused me. Thanks. That's helped me understand it a lot better. You are doing your hatches in veneered ply if I've understood correctly.
  5. Can you explain what I'm looking at in this photo please? I'm trying to understand how you are choosing the best matching grain.
  6. Just one small point. If you intend to screw the blanking plates into the wood fillets that you've fitted, you may have problems with it being an end grain. The wood is likely to split. I'd recommend using Velcro to hold the blanking plates in place instead.
  7. Interesting. That's a new approach (I think). I take it that you are still developing this?
  8. Either of Richard Baker or Ted Rogers in a ginger wig would do. Skank's not that fussy...
  9. Congrats Skank. I recently discovered how playable inexpensive Squiers can be for myself. It's even stopped me from playing five string for now.
  10. Although I felt that this one might be genuinely useful one day...
  11. The Repairs and Technical and Build Diaries sections of Basschat can be very useful.
  12. Welcome TnToast. No good with cowbells then?
  13. Sorry about that. You may not be far wrong there. I must have had a senior moment with clipboard memory.
  14. You've just answered your own question. So much weirdness in there. I seldom follow suggested follow-ons because of it.
  15. Welcome Outtaseezun.sarcastic
  16. Then you already know the value of playing with others as opposed to recordings of others. Cool.
