    If you stick with the single J idea; Laid out as it is in this image, the buckeye seems to flow sympathetically. With the pick up it looks like ripples going out from the pup itself and the angle of the neck root seems to be reflecting those ripples back. Seriously good judgement on your part if it was deliberately that way.
