  1. Are you sure you unchecked everything? The list of vendors is very long.
  2. I was refused entry this morning and discovered the site trying to load a script called Gatekeeperconsent dot com. So I allowed it temporarily and it presented me with a consent management screen that has no Reject All button. There are far too many check boxes to uncheck to opt out of all of them without a LOT of faff. I tried to log in despite this and failed. I then tried to post on this section as a guest and was told that a member was already using my email. I took the option to reset my password and here I am. What's happening?
  3. Seeing it, the tan was the better choice.
  4. You could be on to something there.
  5. I'd go for white because of the texture. Over time it should develop an interesting patina. I'd only consider the tan if it had some texture. As it is, it's uninspiring. Of course, if you can successfully emboss a distinctive emblem onto the tan leather it would offer the eye some traction, so to speak.
  6. This is the Basschat thread with Recommended Amp Techs. I don't know how current it is but it might be worth posting a query there.
  7. I thought the only choices were fingers or plectrum. You live and learn.
  8. When Jack was making one of his ukuleles he did it this way. He pressed the frets in with a modified mole grips that applied an even pressure across each fret. The fretboard became quite curved with the combined pressure of all the fret tangs and it required a firm clamping when he glued it down. I can't remember the overall thickness of the fretboard but it's worth having a bit of extra meat on it if you do it this way.
  9. 7:40 "The shagbut... which is a two man trombone." [Titter] I love those diagrams. I reckon @Frank Blank had something to do with them. Great post. I always like to hear about the BBC boffins. Has @Smanth seen this? Oops. I just twanged my gibbering strings.
  10. Done. I'm interested to see how this goes. Decent tune too.
  11. Best wishes for a successful procedure and speedy recovery. In the meantime... one handed tuba?
  12. Yes. It's not like it grows on trees.
