  1. Hahahahaha! You could be worse. Your spell checker might have accidentally waxed your pubes and screwed your chance of nomination for the best display of short and curlies this year.
  2. I'd be careful if I were you as the corners are delicate where you plan to drill. It's where the damage is on mine. Just the corner has broken off leaving the sharpish edge of the countersunk screw exposed enough to cause discomfort if you're really digging in. I'm still hoping to get the original part one day. Thanks for the info. I hope you post your results here.
  3. It's also more stable. Remember that the moisture content of seasoned hardwood is approximately 12%. Wax is not affected by this.
  4. Normal? Guitar? I know nothing of which you speak. Heeheehee. Thanks Woody, much appreciated.
  5. I am in a similar bind with my B2A. None of the sites list the HB pick-up surround on its own. I don't want to buy a whole set of pick-ups at 142 Euro just for one surround. I'd like to have the original part though. It's the only bit of the bass that is damaged and it is just where I want to rest my thumb!
  6. Welcome SSRecords. Sir Cliff Richard once said: "I like small speakers. I like tall speakers..." I am not knighted and I'm sticking with my fifteen inch combo and eighteen inch extension.
  7. Welcome Sarah. Yes. We call it GAS round these parts. You'll find yourself in good company.
  8. Thanks for reminding me. I have that on an iPad belonging to my house mate. I found it a little clunky to use but the touch screen was the main problem. I seem not to be able to get them to work reliably. Putting a footswitch on it and updating it might prove interesting as I haven't used it for about two years.
  9. Sorry to bring the tone of your topic down Fretmeister but I have to ask; Is PreSonus the only one that does TAB? I appreciate it is a feature that isn't a really required by composers and arrangers but having it increases access to written music.
  10. Their example image is certainly impressive:
  11. Does Hammerite have a shade of blue that you'd find acceptable? It's already a hammered finish so no need for subtle relicing. Range
  12. Actually, I reckon you are onto a good idea. Bribe one of Snailsburys trolley handlers to put your bass into every trolley train that he collects for a week!
  13. The colours are good with that gloss coat. Warmer and less washed out.
  14. Subtle? The white and orange combination is already less startling but to seek a subtle relicing is like hoping for a nice relaxing road traffic accident.
  15. I enjoyed doing oil finishes on mine too. I'm crap with a brush or sprayer so it suits me well.
  16. Do you know? I wondered if I ought to have checked whether Ashden was a girl's name. They've both got something in tribute in any case. Respect.
  17. Cheers. I just saw the headless neck. From that angle it looked like you were tight for space and my mind could only fit a paddle into that image. "cheap synth-bass sound" - hahahahaha
  18. It's also a darn good reason to follow your build topics. Your impressive pace has been mentioned but your flexibility is remarkable too. Good work. Great tribute to your boys too. They'll be proud of that no doubt.
