  1. Yes. The only other place I can see where it might belong is Repairs and Technical. I'd put it here and If the local mods get all bovva'd about it, they can move it as appropriate. I am very interested in the inlay process. I'm just off to see if I can find the swear jar.
  2. I heard that about the mkI Bartolinis when I was choosing the SR605. Mine has the two way mid tone control whereas the newer ones have a three way version. I suspect that the three way mid is supposed to address the preamp shortcomings. It got luke warm reviews also.
  3. It's getting exciting. Would MDF work with a CF wrap I wonder? It's probably not great under compression across the "grain".
  4. That's a problem for some. Feature bloat can be a bugger when your needs are simple. It seems that no-one is bothered by it under the age of about fifty or so...?
  5. I was thinking more along the lines of starting a Rocklite topic here. Nice work on the block inlays. It looks like you do the routing "freehand" as it were. No template? That's how I like to work with the smaller power tools. Did you finish the edges with a chisel? Yes. I must stop skim reading.
  6. Depends on your intentions when left alone in a darkened room with it...
  7. I wondered about the 24th fret marker and thought it might not have been on the template. Having looked back, I see it has at the top of page two. Was it hard to do what with the frets being in and all?
  8. I'd get on better with an old kipper hanging off of my rear view mirror. Those air "fresheners" have a stench that really gets up my hooter.
  9. Cheers. I have it in mind to try that out on my Pit Bull. The passive humbuckers have a good output and the individual coil wires are accessible for tapping.
  10. Your topic title misled me somewhat. I had this in mind: You are right though. Nice relaxed conversation between Scott and one of my bass heroines. Cheers.
  11. Welcome Guldur. Thanks for the link. I'm getting some great celtic vibes from the opening bars. I'll listen to that whole piece when I have less distractions.
  12. Can you describe the configuration options for the two pick-ups that the wiring diagram gives you please? It looks to my uneducated eyes as if you may have it wired to allow series/parallel switching but I'm only guessing.
  13. Thank you. You took the hit for me by responding before I had the chance to say "Peppa Pig". That would have been seriously embarrassing. IOU 1
  14. This is where you need to take a deep breath and let it out slowly. With the finish line in sight it is too easy to let the excitement blind you to potential c0ck ups. Those individual bridge rails are crucial. No pressure...
  15. You might have saved some yoof their trainee job. Good man!
  16. I tried to find the Rocklite thread in Basschat. No result. Is it in one of the, er, other fora? I lifted this from earlier in this topic.
  17. I can vouch for that! As I have the plasticky Dremel version does that mean that I should be twice as envious of Christine's toys as I am of yours or as you are of Christine's? It's a quality of plunge that I have yet to experience.
  18. Welcome Marcus Bass, If you follow this link, it will take you to the part of this forum where you should get the best help.
  19. I'm assuming these were sold as being brand new. I'm a tit. Sorry, I should've sat down to read that first time 'round.
  20. And there I was thinking that a Culture Vulture was a large chicken with an insatiable appetite for yoghurt! You live and learn.
  21. There you go overthinking it again. The two states are barely distinguishable from each other. Heeheehee.
  22. The Car Boot Bass. I like it. When's the christening?
