  1. Back down to nine cookies when I log on.
  2. Although I was no longer getting the two banner ads at the top of the homepage I was getting a brief pop-up each time I logged in but it would disappear almost instantly and I would then have a grey bar across the bottom of my screen. Refreshing the screen made that go away. I still had 24 cookies onboard despite not allowing the Ezoic script to run.
  3. Welcome CDog.
  4. That's lovely. It makes me think of Twiggy.
  5. Welcome CB.
  6. Ooh! Shiny!
  7. Welcome TH.
  8. Welcome D'Alamo.
  9. Welcome Dallas.
  10. Welcome Pawel (again).
  11. Welcome Chap.
  12. You have made some good choices. I like the knobs you chose better than the first lot. As for the control plate... if it is brass you need only take the corners off with a good metal file. It won't take much and brass is a relatively easy metal to work with.
  13. Welcome Pawel.
  14. As Paul says above, The knobs are the only things that look slightly off. Maybe some Bakelite chicken heads would suit. Overall it looks very good
  15. Welcome Todd.
  16. Welcome Raffaele.
  17. Brass is a lovely metal to work with.
  18. But a six makes it look like you are are a tiny guitarist rather than a big hairy arrsed bassist.
  19. My browser it is set to remove cookies at the end of each session. I shut down my browser after I visit. I do have to sign in but that's exactly how I want it. The "Remember Me" button is unchecked when I do so.
  20. With every sympathy for what you've said @Kiwi, I am a supporting member and would like to continue to do so as the site is quite important to me. However, I shall make this the last year in which I contribute if this goes on beyond the trial. Sorry, but as a paying member, I do not want to see any third party stuff. I have been tolerant because @ped mentioned that BC was looking to make this possible for paying subscribers. I run a script blocker which prevents Ezoic (and others) from running scripts on my machine. The fact that this is happening despite blocking their script has upset me somewhat. I don't believe that a cookie is the ONLY way to identify paying and non-paying subscribers after sign-in.
  21. Right on Sylvia. What does "Got it" mean anyway? It's not exactly explicit consent. Why can't we have the option to reject all but essential cookies like a lot of other sites do?
  22. Welcome Bongo. The Theory and Technique section might help.
