  1. But we can't load up, load up, load up with rubber numbers now can we? It would be good to see you there if you are able after all that's been happening.
  2. Frank has kindly given me his used guitar rack on receipt of his new one. He wouldn't let me pay postage either. Very generous and much appreciated.
  3. Dave has passed on a nice used set of Ernie Ball Slinky strings to me free of charge. Very kind, much appreciated.
  4. JJ Cale's Mama didn't want no guitar bass drumming piano reefer but that didn't stop anyone from doing all of those things... AND... all at the same time. So there.
  5. Play Bay City Rollers' tracks on that tartan axe. That'd scare the bejebus out of most rodents.
  6. Welcome Neil.
  7. GP always says that Toy Matinee goes down well in the 'States but not so well here. I like what I've heard of the band so far. I will enjoy that link after supper. Cheers
  8. It may take a little time to get used to the B. I found I was pushing it over the edge of the fret trying to get a solid note at first. Over time you get a better feel of how to get it to stand up for itself alongside the EADG.
  9. I'm sure you will have a selection of willing volunteers to practice your engineering skills on for free to get you there. Great topic.
  10. Foxy Trax Production
  11. Welcome Maz.
  12. Indeed. I'm not even bothered about there not being a volute! I like the headstock detail, specifically the raised laminations on the centreline.
  13. David Bowie - Serious Moonlight Tour, Vancouver 1983 It's on right now until six this evening.
  14. Those shut lines are perfect! Socket screws as well? Splendid.
  15. Wichita Linesman? Great song. It can even make Steve Wright's show seem interesting.
  16. Welcome B.
  17. There may well be a "tasting".
  18. I've asked Jack to make his Oats Pie. It's loaded with butter, golden syrup and jam.
  19. If he ever grows a beard, we're changing his screen name to Captain Birdseye!
  20. It would be great to see you there Owen. Even if it's only to compare a five string upright with the electric ones.
  21. See my comment above. I don't think you were. As I see it, Nick just didn't use the latest copy of the list.
  22. I think Nick might have used an earlier version of the list in fact. At some point @jebroad might have to consolidate the various incarnations of this list and check to confirm attendance nearer the date. A lot could happen as things develop this year.
  23. You are one of "they". Do it yourself!
  24. I'm not the level of player you are looking for perhaps but I am sure to benefit from what you're doing. I wish you success with your venture. I've been lurking on one of your topics for a while. It's great to see how it's done for real having built many cabinets using guesswork in my youth.
