  1. The Morningstar stuff looks interesting but it will be a click on click off event which I am not hugely up for. I just want to hit an open E on the bass, press a sustain pedal like a keyboard player would and get 41Hz of LF goodness rumbling on until I take my foot off. I am not trying to be awkward.
  2. Now, this is exciting. Now I need you to tell me which one.
  3. Can I do it with some sort of stand alone midi controller as if I am just using a sustain pedal? I full realise that I will not be freezing the audio. but could have patches which would continue the synth sound until the cows come home? Can I just create a really long note while just playing bass on stage?
  4. Sustain pedal is GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! ?
  5. Oooft, that is a fine looking axe.
  6. When I grow up I hope to be able to extend the end of a phrase so that I land in the next one about 4 or 6 beats after the One and have it contribute to music and not sound like a mistake.
  7. I went to a clinic he did in London a few years ago. I could not understand why it was not a BC national conference.

  9. Neck back to the thinest clear seal I can get away with and a colour matched headstock.
  10. Not helping. I always like to keep an eye on resale
  11. Nope 3ply white black white.
  12. I suspect it will be because I have always fancied a Metal Flake but they need a scratchplate and no other bass I own has a scratchplate. Unless I want to respray an old Fender.
  13. BF are hitting the mainstream. Congratulations to them.
  14. Classic. I am now humming and hahing between metal flake blue or a nice lightly reliced sea foam green. 1st world problems.
  15. The pickup and preamp combo are very nice. If they came in any other body shape I would probably be there. It is not that I dislike the body shape, I just could not get comfy with it. Are the electronics available aftermarket? They did not used to be but I have got to the stage in life where I no longer NEED to know everything about everything bass so am out of the loop.
  16. I have owned 3 of them. The electronics were just superb. I could not get with the lower horn digging into my leg when I sat down.
  17. And there we have it. It feels really nice. It does the flats thing nicely. It stinks of fags. I had forgotten that people smoke. I guess it will have to sit in the garage for a couple of weeks. Eugh. I guess I will have to price up a metal flake finish now. That will sort out the smell!
  18. At a guess you will hit more people in this forum.
  19. Ah! The wanted section. I shall go and look.
  20. That is the mother of all build threads.
  21. This thread is useless without a shopping list of needs and want for said project.
  22. Everyday is a school day. Just as well my incoming one is a 5 then. I do not get on with Presicion nuts. I thought I did until I realised that the 73P bitsa I own actually has a J nut.
