You say it is very blingy like that is a bad thing. That is going STRAIGHT onto my Ebay watchlist.

Performances that left you slack jawed
Owen replied to Barking Spiders's topic in General Discussion
I saw Nate Smith + Kinfolk in London a few years ago. I have never seen such ensemble work. I used to think that mistakes were a bad thing, but in this kind of stuff if you are not making mistakes you are not trying hard enough. There was the odd musical ripple but they rode them with a smile and easy grace. It was just sublime. There was Miles Davies in the Festival Hall in London in '91. The whole band was astounding. I stood there thinking "what he is playing makes no sense, and yet it is fabulous". I felt like I was walking on air for 3 days afterwards -
I librated one of the QSC K10.2 boxes last night to bring home for the weekend. It is quite the thing.

Hot to connect a Hiwatt DR103 with a Hiwatt custom slave 100

I can offer no technical assistance, but would add "while wearing proper moulded ear-plugs" to the title. -
I also crave a flake finish so am subbing to this thread. I wanted this one, but the £/$ and CITIES said no. https://www.talkbass.com/threads/musicman-bongo-5hh-marty-bell-western-blue-big-sparkle-flake-finish.1265232/

We are just having the building networked properly so the wifi should be rock-solid within our 4 walls. What it does outside is WAY beyond my control! I had thought of the whole nicer cameras/HDMI option but that would mean buying nicer cameras which would add to the expense. This is a toe in the water excercise and if it turns out to be not for us then the kit can be shifted fairly easily and a solid % of the £ recouped. If we do get excited about doing it then we can re-tool further down the line. Also, people can learn the software at home and become operators with minimal training. I really was thinking about the "user-friendlyness" aspect of it. If we have to borrow cameras to do it then that would be yet another thing to set up for us on the day - and that is reliant on nicer camerss loaners actually being there. This seems to answer where we are for now. I am slowly learning that not everyone wants to get as tech-y as I do. This has been a long road!

To continue the filming question, it looks like we are going with Switcher Studio, two iPods and two DJI Osmo Gimbals. If they are all on the same wifi network the iPods can be automatically panned and zoomed from the iPad and stuff like that - this includes iPods broadcasting to the iPad. No need for cableing all over the place. Switcher Studio is a £30 per month Sub. We shall see.

Old school led sled. The same tone stack as an Alembic pre-amp and loads of headroom. It constantly suprises me that we do not all own one.

It is a classic BC saying, but if that was a 5.......

I have always thought I should listen to Kings X. I now know I should have done so earlier. I like it.

One of us has stepped up. Most of my small junk has left the building.

All these likes are all well and good, but I still have a basket full of things collecting dust.

I have been clearing. I have shifted a bunch of stuff but I cannot see items 1- 10 here going but I am loath to just bin them. If anyone on this forum (which is the one which gives me most pleasure these days) wants any for the cost of postage alone, they are yours. Let me know if anyone can use any of them. This is for items 1- 10 only.

Aint THAT the truth. And that is what an engineer wants. A sound he can build the track on. So often it will not be the sound we though we have made.
