  1. To avoid any dissapoinment these are £50 each. I can do pics, but they are in VGC and have velcro. You know what they look like and what they do. I have the boxes as well.
  2. Lightweight. Practice is cheating.
  3. Shorter scale brings the rubbery goodness under the hands.
  4. Glad you got one for the right price. If anyone is reading this thinking their local college might be selling recent ones for a good price, think again. I work in a local college. There is NO chance that scenario would ever, ever happen. Ever.
  5. And yet, everyone who has been mentioned at the very least has, or in general is, earning a living playing bass. So by definition they are doing it right. Cos we would all love to. Maybe some of us have and have moved on. Maybe some of us still are. It is a lesson that there are so few "name" players on here because there is always someone who wants to have a pop. It is like my mate who is 6'5" and huge going out on the town. Every bloke who wants to prove themselves wants to fight him. Why do forums get such a kick from saying "yeah, not bad but...... you know......"? Everyone who has been mentioned has had commercial success which means they do not have to have a day job. They must be proper gutted that they do not measure up to what the BC Massive see as doing it right.
  6. What, like we are not doing the same things we have always done but doing so with Blue Passports?
  7. Fancy wood is great, but there is something very honest about that straight grained cut (almost quartersawn - like I knew). Sometimes less truly is more.
  8. I am naive enough to believe that politics should be all about economics and facts. I am done with this mindset that this clown troupe masquerading as a government have the remotest chance of negotiating anything which would benefit the people they are meant to be serving. Where is the evidence that they have even half a clue?
  9. It's gonna be awesome. Anything that floats the boat of the present Cabinet (they cannot possibly be there for any other reason) is fine by me. How hard can it be to refloat an empire?
  10. That is the very harsh truth. I have more than I use. And it bothers me.
  11. There is a queue....... But I do know that you are in that queue
  12. Bergantino. The man has never seen a penny from me because I bought my IP310 2nd hand (have I ever mentioned how much I love it?). I had some issues with it and he sent me parts FOC from the US. He offered to revoice the DSP FOC if I sent it to him - until he realised it would be impractical due to the large amount of water between us. I had another issue which was known issue with the plate amp he used. He did not blink but put me in touch with the OEM manufacturer. He even took one of my suggestions on board for upgrading the B-Amp. I lke to think about it as the "Owen tweak".
  13. Bass and drums are a symbiotic relationship of love and respect. No one needs to lead or follow because we are reading each other's minds. It is a beautiful thing But if the drummer is rubbish I will lead and I just do not care. If I start playing straight crotchets my wife knows I am not enjoying the gig. She knows I am wrestling with at least one member of the band. And to be fair it could be any member of the band. Don't get me wrong, I am not "all that" but I know where 1 is and I know where the next 1 should be.
  14. I am glad to hear that. I have no use for them, but.......
  15. Mutter mutter all over this like a bad rash mutter mutter distance mutter mutter
  16. The BC community can riff endlessly on Quo song titles. And I can not only recognise but can hum a solid 90% of them. Respect is due to Status Quo.
