  1. Every day is a school day! I no longer need to buy it.
  2. The idea is great but it provides another layer of maintainance which I just do not have time for. Ideally everythign just sits there waiting to be used. It is the "tons on eBay for £3-£4 that are probably exactly the same!" which are the interesting ones. If someone says "yes, I have used this one and it is fine" then I would happily take a punt.
  3. The idea of running 5 off one supply is feasible but I am trying to set up rehearsal spaces for my students which will be socially distanced so the units will be spread across a lot of space and I would need to run really long extensions to make it work. I am aware that this is also fresh information!
  4. Thanks both of you. As usual, the information I thought I was giving and the information I was actually giving were two different things. Sorry about that. What I need are 10 individual wall wart power supplies - like this but hopefully cheaper! https://www.pmtonline.co.uk/strymon-uk-power-supply?utm_source=google&utm_medium=shopping&gclid=Cj0KCQjwtsv7BRCmARIsANu-CQfrythykXQRreGiSu1yzrsfRywz8P-xQg351KuUCZ7klNsjSIZBaEAaAsjUEALw_wcB
  5. I have to power a bunch of Behringer GDI 21 pedals at work. Can anyone suggest as decent but not bank breaking PSU. I will need 10 of them so you can understand my lack of enthusiasm for the state of the art! If something existed which did what the Behringer does for £40ish but ran on phantom power I would be happy enough with that as well. But I cannot see anything out there.
  6. Rejection is hard to take. IIRC, that is/was kind of Overwater who used to handle these over here. It might be worth asking them directly.
  7. I believe that the Mark 1 SRM450 were RCF. They ran out of headroom pretty quickly when used as a bass cab. However, when paired up with an SRM 1500 sub I could slay whole rooms. Portable rig? No. Used irresponsibly? Guilty as charged.
  8. For those of us who get confused by tech chatter here is one with less tech chatter and more sounds. I freely admit that tech stuff is big and clever. It just makes me feel light headed.
  9. I used to have one of the original Brad Houser one in knobly chrome. It was quite the machine. Ironically I thought I had ordered a different finish so opening the box was quite a surprise. I will never look that fabulous again when playing Bass Guitar.
  10. I had a Peavey Midibass back in the day. It was to be the one bass to rule all basses (like all my basses one at a time really). The Midi tracking was dreamy (in a good way) but the bass was yuck. This does not look yuck.
  11. He is working that seam and working it well. I wish him nothing but the best. There are many worse things out there.
  12. That last chord would not be my favourite part of the piece to play. So much potential for disaster right at the end!
  13. £50 to your door.
  14. And they have an internal Low Pass Filter which means you can plug your amp in to your present speaker and one of these (impedance allowing) and this just churns out the beefy goodness with no further kit needed.
