  1. I think what impressed me most about my last Overwater is that it was the most well behaved bass I have ever played. Everything did exactly what it should. It was dead quiet in all situations. The balance of notes was superb all the way through the range. It sat very well in every situation I used it in. The sound was almost post production solid, but in a really good way. It was a joy to play. I sold it cos I am a lightweight and could not deal with the 6th string, but that is not Overwater's fault.
  2. That was not a trick question. I have now found them. They are Handy Handles. And it looks as if they are not sold anymore. So I guess my next question is, what else is out there?
  3. I bought a batch of these years ago. Really useful to carry coiled leads. I need more. I cannot for the lofe of me remember what they are called or where I got them. Yes, I have googled. Can anyone help?
  4. <goes off to plan a 36" 6 string original with bottom F#>.............
  5. Unless it was from the infamous slate period.
  6. I have owned 3. I traded the first (original in Purple Burst) for a pair of EMG Jazz pickups. What an idiot. The second was a 6 string 36" which I picked up and had Chris totally refurb. It was just sublime. Quite the most even bass I have played but the extra string made my head go soggy inside. So I sold it. I have just picked up another 6 string 36" from the same era which will go back to Chris for another refurb. I will practice with it because the sound on the 2nd was genuinely something else. It will be strung bottom F# to G and will speak with the voice of thunder.
  7. Every time I pick up my Korean MTD Heir which I payed £180 for on here I do wonder why I have so many other basses. If it was my only bass I could be perfectly happy with it. Which begs the question why I keep the rest?
  8. I do not need a new 12" cab. But lots of people do. Why on earth is this still here?
  9. Just very smooth. Very very smooth. Like REALLY smooth
  10. Obviously everyone else is over their jack to xlr obsession as well!
  11. But the only 36" scale Overwater. I sold one and then regretted it. You all know how it is.
  12. Not an issue for me!
  13. And again. There is a lot to like when Sam is involved.
  14. Here he is with Louis. Check out the throat thing at 1:10ish while you are here. Louis is in Machester on March the 12th and might well have Sam with him.
  15. Yup. He is around Louis Cole as well as many others. Exceptionally nice player.
  16. Excellent. Nice to see some players actually making the cash. I watched him working out how to make it happen as they built a following.
