Well.... seeing as you asked..... I picked up the body and neck on here ages ago. The price was very good and I can remember typing a PM VERY quickly. The machine heads are 2nd hand from here. Not sure what they are. There is a D tuner on there as well. Those and the bridge were fumigated in cement cleaner to take the shine off. I should have done the knobs but got bored as is my wont. The scratchplate is a Spitfire one which cost an inordinate amount of money. I ordered it super dirty. But it was too dirty so I cleaned it. Now the w/b/w ply is a bit too shiny so I need to stain that a bit. One day. Maybe. The pickups came from The Bass Doc and were wound by the guy who did pickups for Chris Rea. As you would expect, the jazz pickup is so close to the bridge it is pretty anaemic, but there is a hole there, so I had to fill it with something. The P pickup is just fabulous. The back of the body looks like someone has been sledging on tarmac with it and the neck has clearly been sanded and waxed. It is SO comfy. The flatwounds are second hand. They were 12 years old when I got them. They have to be 25 years old by now. They have the funk. It was only when I bought this that I realised why I did not like my Bravewood P. Those C width nuts are just not for me. Don't get me wrong, the Bravewood was a thing of joy, just not ergonimically suited to me. You did ask.

A poor picture of my 73 A neck bitsa. An A neck is where it is at.

I dropped mine decades ago when my carrying strap broke. I had always begrudged paying insurance. Suddenly it was a VERY GOOD THING.

Unless you are in doing a session and you float gently over that 3 hour mark into the next session.

Swapping kit (don't worry kids, I've paid my subs).

You could charge 123456789 for it. I am certain that people would get it. -
@Rosie C I saw this and thought of you.

By accident, I own one which is 5 days too young.

Find the Fingerstyle Funk vids by Rocco Prestia. Problem solved. Also, I have found that holding a pencil in your plucking hand fist with your 3rd and 4th fingers enables some people (me included) to get more control on your 1st and 2nd fingers.

I had this very conversation the other day with my home insurers. They were happy to put my kit on my home policy but they had to be counted within my overal contents policy. So if my contents were insured for £100 and I told them my 17th Century Double Bass was worth £80 then the rest of my contents would only be insured to the value of £20. Obv, these are not proper numbers. Sadly, I also need to rethink my insurance policies.

Thanks. They are the orginal pots and I have no reason to believe that the wiring has been put back wrongly. However, I have a recognised history of sorting out problems by changing something that had nothing to do with the problem. Then still having the problem and also a new part I did not need to spend money on.

I always do.

That truss rod cover (which I never look at) is aesthetically displeasing.
