I picked up a 1x12" one of these and actually LOLd. Then I plugged my amp in and stopped LOLing immediately. If I was gigging in a meaningful way, I would have this without blinking.
I have one complete Shuker, one Shuker body with a Firecreek neck and one Shuker body with a Goodfellow neck. They are all sorts of right. I am waiting to find a date that he is doing a set up course that I can go to.
I have an MTD Kingston I bought for peanuts while playing Ebay roulette many, many years ago. It has been badly abused over the years. I should not have taken the Audere preamp with Low Z switch out of it. I have changed pickups 4 times. It now sports 2 Smith humbuckers and goes through a Smith floor preamp. The floor preamp will eventually be plumbed into the bass. It has the loveliest neck I have ever played and is super light. Nothing not to love.
No different from learning the basics on a 4 string. it is a truth universally acknowledged that you cannot spell Bass without a B.
Yes, the bottom B is so expensive you will want to cry. But lower notes are more better, right?
Thanks. I know exactly what PLEK is. I am just wondering if people who have had one done see it as a step above a full hand-done set-up/fret dress, etc.
