  1. I used one of these as a bass cab a very long time ago. It was surprisingly effective.
  2. Oooh! Nice comparison, I fancy a set of those tapewounds. Thanks.
  3. The North West Wales Massive are bowing out. We love bass, but not enough to be stuck in snow or getting intimate with a wall. Of course, the weather will be fine, but we would look silly if not.
  4. Kala Ubass with Pahahoe strings.
  5. Will the standard "no zips, no metal buttons" rule be being enforced?
  6. I will be coming over with a Shuker, a Dingwall, a Double Bass, Bergantino IP310, Felix preamp, various pedals inc Future Impact for the synth pedal comparing thing.
  7. As long as it is bought 2nd hand at realistic prices then when the time comes you can get the £ out again. No worries.
  8. <jumping up and down like an excited puppy> Any news?
  9. I will have my DB, NS5, Felix pre-amp, Bergantino IP310 + a Mackie SRM350
  10. Is it bad that I am getting flightcase GAS?

The fact that my mate had the "departmental" one in his drawer and I had just bought 3 for 93p each (inc postage) from China meant that I could just take it home and now it is mine. Using it to change pitch on my G and D on my DB means that I can set up "clouds" of harmonics in the correct keys using my Neunaber reverb on infinite hold. The Neunaber holds the tails after it is turned off so I can just set up shimmery goodness. Of course, the real problem is that I now need a Strymon Big Sky

No no no no no That is exactly how it does work for my purposes. Happy days!
  13. I tried my Woojer. It is lovely and all that but I am not Mr IEM and cannot really see myself using it in anger. Anyone want to take it off my hamds. My subs are fully paid up n that, I just thougt here would be the most obvious market.

As it happens a friend had a brass Shubb in the drawer. Using upside down, the bit for behind the neck which is a bit curved did the G and D on fingerboard nicely. I will need to get a wedge in there to get the angle proper. Happy days!

Thanks all (as usual) I will try a Shubb and then see if I can take it to a local engineers to bend it if there is not enough of an arc in it. What bends easiest, Brass or Aluminium?
