Some people like Bergs more than BF. Some people like BF more than Bergs. How this turns into angry posting central every time is just beyond me. It is ALL relative. It all depends on what each individual is looking for in a cab. Nothing else. How do I know if a cab is going to work for me? I play through one. I buy it, try it at home and if I like it I keep it. If I do not I send it back under distance selling or if I bought it here I sell it on for the same price. Alex is doing his thing. Jim is doing his thing. Both are great options. What a time to be alive!

I have a bitsa Goofellow neck/Shuker Body which much as I like it it just does not get used so I will probably bring that and offer it for sale if anyone fancies it.

Ugh! This would mean remembering who I bought it from on here. Just as well I never clear out my PM box!

I have a preamp that I am thinking about sending back to the manufacturer to be brought up to present spec. He is in the USA. Am I going to get smacked about for import duties at both ends or is there a way around it seeing as I own it and have paid full whack for it? I am not importing it. TIA.

Some of us live REALLY far away from any decent set up bods. Would anyone know of a good local set up bod who would come in and charge individuals by the hour to do setups? We could book basses in beforehand.

Screwfix were great on size but as you say, useless on colour. I took what they had so that I could get on and finish the job over the holidays. As usual life got in the way and I am no further forward. My foam is basically aluminium brief case kind of foam. That will be a no then. I will find some proper stuff. Thanks - as usual.
