1. Let's hope for 2107 and not 2016S
2. Of course I could just ask Google. http://www.strymon.n...pression-pedal/
3. I need an expression pedal. I do not need a volume pedal but the Ernie Ball seems nicely engineered so can I put a different pot in and make the magic happen? I have no idea about this stuff.
4. It went for £501, which was £1 more than I bid. We all know that their top bid could have been £800, but if I bid £500 and it topped out at £501 I am guessing that was top whack for the winner. Bargainous. Glad I did not win - playing Ebay Roulette can be expensive.
5. I put some speculative bids in for fun - because I REALLY need a 4U valve head which weighs the same as a house. They did not work, which is just as well really because the last time I did that I bought a Demeter head and then I bought an Epifani cab to go with it. That was a lovely rig but totally surplus to requirement! This place is very dangerous.
6. If I can slip Teen Spirit in then I will. It is surprising how often it is do-able. I always sound check with Peaches whatever the gig, Jazz/Classical/Theater or whatever. Someone always gets it.
7. Not me, but I am subbing cos I am interested.
8. I won the Eminence. I shall report back.

10. In a dangerous fit of GAS I have bought one of these. It is a set up which enables you to access any of Nuenaber's pedal software and step through 4 of them. What initially attracted me was the Seraphim pedal which gives a really cool halo kind of thing to notes using reverb and pitch shift. I then realised that the slate pedal gives you 4 pedals in one and 2 presets on each pedal. The Seraphim works very nicely with Double Bass arco work. The sustainer aspect of another voice looks interesting but I need to tweak it. I might have to read the manual. I have never found a chorus that works for me. This one does. I can load the Seraphim into 2 banks so have 4 different settings of that and then a bank of 2 sustains and a bank of 2 choruses. If you want to check.out the Seraphim then go onto Youtube and search for the Knobs channel and look at their review. It is a great channel anyway. You all probably knew this but I was excited and wanted to tell someone Edited so that I can actually spell the name of the company correctly.
11. Thanks Ped, I guessed it was you. I think the plans I picked up in the links above should see me right, but I appreciate the offer.
12. I am totally interested in pics!
13.
What happens if you actually want to move around on stage, or are they not for stage use?
I have never ever been hired for my dynamic stage presence so that is not an issue for me
Interesting concept, Owen. I have no thoughts or ideas to contribute, I'm afraid, but very interested to see how this progresses.
I tend to find that my thought process percolates over a period rather than all kicking in at once. If I do things on the spur of the moment then I usually have a period afterwards of thinking "Ah, I should have done it a different way" so I am looking to the BC Massive to tell me if I have missed anything. I don't think I have, but experience tells me I probably have!
14. I am not massively looking for trades, but the worst I can say is no
15. Far away from The Smoke, but carriage is included in the price

d&b are proper lush.
17. But most of them are like philosophers. TIme is an abstract concept.
18. It was the knobs video. I really should be in bed, but this is way more interesting.
19. I have no use for this. But it looks like a huge amount of fun. I watched a video, and then a video of the ARF. These guys are making lovely things.
20. Inspired by the sale of a Pleasureboard here a couple of days ago I got all excited about owning one. I did some forum searches and it appears that they can generate that "heft" that I crave (I do not want to get into discussions about heft here) but can no longer experience to the full due to hearing damage. Wear earplugs kids - thank me in 20 years when you can still play bass. I looked at the prices and thought "that is do-able, I am having one". Then I realised that I need an amp to drive it. That was going to be another £300 minimum - or more if I wanted a specific Pleasureboard amp (I know that they are now called bassboards). This was becoming more expensive. I then trawled back through my BC memory and remembered someone referencing DIY ones. I eventually tracked this down to Bigwan (Ian) who dug up some links to a German Bass board with threads about it. https://www.bassic.ch/threads/bass-shaker-platte-selbst-gemacht.14849010/ https://www.bassic.ch/threads/review-tecamp-pleasure-board.14840638/ https://www.bassic.ch/threads/bass-shaker-board-es-ist-vollbracht.14793371/#post-14793371 If your German is not up to it, view these in Chrome and Chrome will offer to translate it for you. Even then they still need an amp to drive them and I do not have a spare amp as my cabs are powered. "Why are they not active?" I thought. I then realised that I can put a plate amp either from a donor active sub (I will try with a Studiospares active sub to see) with a knackered speaker, or just buy a dedicated plate amp http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/371778206784?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT . I only have one build which is unfinished on here at the moment so feel I could have another running project. Can anyone think of problems or improvements? Ta, like.
21. Again, thanks everyone for chipping in. I love this place.
22. I have a bid in on the Eminence BP102. We shall see what happens
