1.
I've bought one... but for those that are kinda sold on the idea too, I've posted this so you have the opportunity to get in on the cheaper price. Of course, when I get it when they are shipped, I'll give it my full appraisal.
I'm in.
2.

Where did you find this? I need to know RIGHT NOW! I am mentally selling things as I type this.

NAMM 2017

Sustain pedal. I want one. http://www.musicradar.com/news/guitars/namm-2017-has-this-plus-pedal-piano-style-sustain-won-namm-before-its-started-647110?utm_source=Adestra&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=16750&utm_term=3973837&utm_content=297305
6.
This track is a good example.
Word
7.
I snapped. I blame whoever it was who suggested the Thomann return policy.
It is a win/win situation. Get stuck into that Talkbass folder. Good times are coming.
8. You guys..................
9. Up to 5 hours at 1080p with a 32 gig card. Sadly the price is now £45 each.
10. What is the longest they will record for with decent quality?
11. I played with people who's timing was........ interesting. It turns out that mine is really good, but it took a long time to realise that. I suspected that I was ok on the timing front, but gigging and recording told me different. By now, if stuff is shifting I know it is not me. That is a comfort and a relief. To have the same engineer over a period of 5 years doing different recordings say "I will fix you later Owen" made me believe it was me. Not so. I have been told by someone who actually knows, that actually I put the beat in a sexy place, and that is good enough for me Thanks for letting me share.
12. You need a new bass. It is the BC way
13.
These are the ones that are references on talkbass right?
Yep. Every clever pedal I have ever owned (Chunk Octavius Squeezer - I am looking at YOU) has freaked me out on the programming side so I have never really got to grips with any of them and just moved them on. However, this one has other people programming it for me and loading up is easy peasy.
14. I just ran into the picture while googling using copper foil as a finish on guitars and I thought "I know other people who might like to see that".
15. Get it from Thomann. If you don't like it send it back. Distance selling is the bomb. But do not send it back until you have downloaded and messed with these patches - https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B2_tqOG3lexBb0dMYTluOTczZUE
16. What he said. So often a product disappoints. This does not. It is actually all that - especially with the editor and people who are cleverer than me putting patches up for easy download.
I have one from the 2nd batch ever built, no issues with peeling or knobs at all and I use it several times a week. It does all I expected and more. At just over 300 quid it is an excellent value pedal that delivers, yes the Deep Impact was cheaper but was also made by Akai not a boutique company. At this price point it is simply the best synth pedal out there at the moment and by quite some margin. If mine got broken or stolen I would buy another immediately. You can spend 300 in many, many worse ways.
17. Some people like Bergs more than BF. Some people like BF more than Bergs. How this turns into angry posting central every time is just beyond me. It is ALL relative. It all depends on what each individual is looking for in a cab. Nothing else. How do I know if a cab is going to work for me? I play through one. I buy it, try it at home and if I like it I keep it. If I do not I send it back under distance selling or if I bought it here I sell it on for the same price. Alex is doing his thing. Jim is doing his thing. Both are great options. What a time to be alive!
18. I can imagine it will not be to everyone's taste but I like it a lot.
19.
the PA team's ability to use it less so...
We resemble that remark!
20.
21.
https://www.facebook.com/AlanGeorgeGuitars/
Now I am fighting a losing battle to not order tue Tele/Gretsch he has. Thanks for that
22. I have a bitsa Goofellow neck/Shuker Body which much as I like it it just does not get used so I will probably bring that and offer it for sale if anyone fancies it.
23. Thanks everyone for all the info, both given and promised. The preamp is a Monique and the info for the latest mods (mine is very early) is not out there. I am sure that a decent tech could do it but Jule has the secret sauce.
