  1. Yep. That shows you how much I know.
  2. I am now doubting myself. However, my wife would not be impressed if I went back downstairs to take a bass to pieces. Tomorrow.
  3. Phew. I guess I will still have to take the neck off and look. It has been a long time since I did that.
  4. Now I am confused. My 66 dot/bound/lollipop Jazz is (from my reading of the numbers) Jan 5 1966. So "5=Precision" is now confusing me. I am open to the concept that I have misremembered this number, but I do not think I have. I guess I will have to pop the neck off.
  5. Thanks, this is EXACTLY the kind of info I am looking for.
  6. Here is a question which is all a bit random. I work in a college which is considering sending students out to Europe for a week-long residential. This would include cultural visits as well as industry experience - studio visits, meeting industry professionals etc. Has anyone done this and if so would you care to share destinations and ideas? TIA
  7. I have settled on Newtone round core nickels on most (33", 34", 35" and 36") but a set of TI Jazz Rounds sit very nicely on one of the 35" in a way they do not on some others.
  8. I have a circuit to put a headphone amp into a bass if anyone wants to buy it.
  9. It was easy
  10. Not wrong.
  11. Cover it in leopard skin. Job done. As for getting jiggy with it - see my signature for what could happen.
  12. If this was a 5 string blah blah blah. I bought a 5 string one of these in one of my periodical Ebay Roulette games. I made a ridiculous offer and it was accepted. It has my very favourite neck carve. I have owned WAY too many basses. My 5 string asymetric neck is the most comfy.
  13. As I was writing that, I knew it was woolly. You could mirror the shapes of the cutouts of the body in black on a white pickguard. Or, another idea would be to look at the black lines in the body and extend them "across" the pickguard. If that makes sense.
  14. Could you print it in black and white incorporating the shapes the main body's holes are?
  15. Deeper Underground trivia question. At what point in the track is there a stray low note? At what point is it copied and pasted for it's 2nd appearance?
  16. Are you sure that is not a password?
  17. I played an Epiphone Newport the other day. I could not find anything not to like.

  19. Welcome to a whole new world of design!
  20. Ah, The Meatball. My pedal nemesis. I got several great sounds out of it. But could never replicate them. Ever. This says more about me than it does about it.

    Arpeggiator pedal

Boss slicer does it and you can sync it via midi. Not that I EVER found a place I could use it. The one time I tried, the keys player humoured me for about 30 minutes and then did it with his left hand.
