  1. I played a ridiculous and silly pointy guitar Explorer thang last week. SO comfy! Who knew?
  2. Baby Baby! A thematic collection. I can respect this.
  3. Hmmmmmmm....sparkly .....mmmmmm
  4. To be fair to G&L, there is a 10 year guarantee on their instruments. They sent me a brand new neck from the US at their expense without even flinching.
  5. Of course, the problem now is that I am going to have to collect all the bits I need to house this into it's next instrument.
  6. * spotty-teenager wrecking crew I love it!
  7. I am expecting a parcel from Mick. I have not even seen it but I know it will be all good
  8. Hubbahubba
  9. No matching headstock = sadness
  10. You are obviously correct. What is wrong with me?
  11. What I like about it most is that someone who knows has done all that tedious tweaking stuff. There are VERY few areas in life where I realise that my skillset trumps other people's. (Don't worry for me, I have an exceptional relationship with myself). With tweaking parameters and all that jazz, if proper grown ups have done ones where I can scroll through 30 and find one which makes a noise I like then it is happy days as far as I am concerned. And life is way too short to squeeze out that extra 3% which I will never hear once the Guitarmageddon kicks in.
  12. I have given up. I will never top this timescale. I recognise greatness when I see it. Feel my defeated spirit
  13. I also know that the GB7 will not fit a Schaller M4.
  14. I sat there and measured it with my super-measuring callipers and thought I had nailed it However, as in all things, I am open to correction and therefore suspect this is a BT2. Thanks I will check the packaging later on but am 99% that detail is not there. I have only just picked it up here 2nd hand on a hunch it would fit my MM (BT1). It did not. I was super close to just drilling the MM but then got a grip on myself.
  15. 1 x chrome BT3 - £55 1 x Gold GB7 - £55 They do not fit what I have. But all my basses have gone back together with no screws left over.
  16. Matching headstocks = hubbahubba.
  17. I miss @Christine.
  18. Next time I will try. But they never answered the phone last time. However, watching Nate Smith and his band lay it down like bosses while enjoying a nice steak was sublime.
  19. I have been thinking about this. They are Gibson humbuckers.
  20. I am in Bangor, North Wales. But it would be at your door within days
  21. I am feeling that affirmation. But would prefer someone to buy it!
  22. Well.... seeing as you asked..... I picked up the body and neck on here ages ago. The price was very good and I can remember typing a PM VERY quickly. The machine heads are 2nd hand from here. Not sure what they are. There is a D tuner on there as well. Those and the bridge were fumigated in cement cleaner to take the shine off. I should have done the knobs but got bored as is my wont. The scratchplate is a Spitfire one which cost an inordinate amount of money. I ordered it super dirty. But it was too dirty so I cleaned it. Now the w/b/w ply is a bit too shiny so I need to stain that a bit. One day. Maybe. The pickups came from The Bass Doc and were wound by the guy who did pickups for Chris Rea. As you would expect, the jazz pickup is so close to the bridge it is pretty anaemic, but there is a hole there, so I had to fill it with something. The P pickup is just fabulous. The back of the body looks like someone has been sledging on tarmac with it and the neck has clearly been sanded and waxed. It is SO comfy. The flatwounds are second hand. They were 12 years old when I got them. They have to be 25 years old by now. They have the funk. It was only when I bought this that I realised why I did not like my Bravewood P. Those C width nuts are just not for me. Don't get me wrong, the Bravewood was a thing of joy, just not ergonimically suited to me. You did ask.
