1.
Wow how cool is that!
Extraordinarily cool. That is how cool it is.
2. I used to drive 1.6Kw into an Eden 410XLT (700w). I had headroom for days. I had authoritative LF heft. Don't even begin to worry.
3. Is there anything finer than CAR with a matching headstock on a Jazz?
4. I have had nothing but good experience from Gear 4 Music basses (4 of them) - because I was not expecting out of the box greatness. They need new strings, a fingerboard truing and possibly a new bridge. But any lower priced instrument is likely to need that. Would I buy from Ebay? Yes. If the price is right then there is space to have a luthier do magic.
5. Glad to hear it is working for you Maybe I should have used a compressor. What bass are you using?
6.
I would like an amp that can run down to 2 ohms.......why are there so few available?
Acoustic Image ones do and have no fan either.
7. Thankfully I have all the Jazz I need in my life, but that scratchplate is a thing of beauty!
8. If anyone wants an Apogee JAM http://basschat.co.uk/topic/264579-apogee-jam-interface/
9. Argh! Scratchplate GAS. Thanks a bunch Kevin.
10. I cannot stand solo bass stuff. Endless self indulgent dross. Really, bass is to be played with people. The ensemble thing is what it is all about in my not so humble opinion. So why am I digging this? I'm not sure, but I am
11. Connect your bass to your iPhone or iPad and have crazy times. 30 pin connector jobbie.
12.
Ooof. Think I'll just look at the pictures. J.
I feel your pain. It was exciting while it lasted though
13. His facebook suggests he was going to use a Delano pickup first but changed his mind. I have asked how much.
14. It is a Nuvo by R.Hyde Guitars. It popped up on my Facebook feed and I thought "I know a group of people who would like to see this". https://www.facebook.com/rhydeguitars

16. I have a student who is broke but needs a set of strings. Does anyone have a mature set of any Innovation strings they would do for £50?
17.
I learned the Lets Dance line a few years ago. The notes are really uncomplicated but I think you need a really solid drummer who knows what they're doing to be able to pull them off. There is so much groove in the bass line.
If Tony Thompson was sitting in the drum chair (he was) then solid is GO!
18. It depends if it actually works!

Jazz

They were gracious together. The P was a Bravewood with a 63P scratchplate. It completely scratched all the same itches as my 66J. I could happily live with a Bravewood Jazz instead of the 66J, but I cannot quite make the move to actually flog it. My wife has told me that I am not allowed to. The Bravewood also taught me that I do not like P nut widths so it went.
Our basses might have been twins at first I don't think Fender made a white Jazz without matching headstock at the time.
They would have been triplets. I have a Jan 66 Dot/Bound sunburst as well. Excuse the P pic. I no longer own that.
