1. I am getting a new set of ACS plugs. They no longer make the ER plugs so the set of filters I have will become redundant. If anyone needs filters or earphones for your present ER plugs I am flogging them here. http://basschat.co.uk/topic/254847-acs-er-filters-headphones-for-your-custom-plugs/ I am licensed to flog on the forum
2. I am changing ear plugs. I am ordering a set of the newer ACS plugs. I have a pair of 9db, 15db and 25db filters. Each pair of filters £50 - (£80 new). The 9db ones are clear but I have drawn an orange line around them so that I could remember which were which. The 15 ones are a pair, one clear, one skin coloured (I lost the original and had to buy another single one - how I laughed). The 25 ones are clear. The 25 ones will not be available until my new set arrive which will probably be 2 weeks-ish) A pair of the in-ear headphones you plop into your ER molds which give you custom in-ear jobbies. - possibly T15 but I honestly cannot remember. Virtually unused. £ 80 or the earphones (£149.99 new) Need them you know you do.
3. I have an NS5 which is fine and dandy as a pretend DB. They come with strings which need changing to generate proper DB thud and the action needs jacking up. No bass guitar will do the DB thing (although the Rob Allen gets close in a mix) but the Uke Bass genre gets very close. Pick one up for less than £100 from Thomann http://www.thomann.de/gb/harley_benton_kahuna_clu_bass_fl.htm#bewertung and if you don't like it then send it back within 30 days. The Kala ones are better built but the sound is there and it is fine. Much lighter than a DB
4. Wood&Tronics used to make a very nice one which would fit your bill. No idea if they still do.
5. Just been using it in anger during a rehearsal. The stock strings are very light. They make TI Jazz Flats seem heavy duty, But I like them. I guess I should record a demo. I was going to mess with it to see if I got on with the frets/DB physical positioning and then shift it and get a full scale one done, but this is a lot of fun so I might keep it for a bit longer. It is interesting to swivel it around from vertical to slab angle and back for different bits of the song even, giving access to different techniques.
6. 3rd in line? As if that will ever happen, but you have to try
7. Waiting for a final neck carve and to be strung up and then it should be winging it's way to me.
8. I have discovered that ear canals change shape as you get older. You should probably be looking at new molds every 4 years or so. I wish I knew this before today.
9. SONIC BLUE! SONIC BLUE! MATCHING HEADSTOCK! MATCHING HEADSTOCK! RELIC RELIC RELIC RELIC! Can you see where I feel it should be going?
10. In a perfect world, I would take it. However I would need to sell a couple of instruments to make the £ and sadly the market says no. This will not stop me from working out how to do it as I fall asleep tonight, but I am now old enough to know it will not work. I have also just bought a bass last week so this is not a good time! Sorry to clog up the thread with this non essential chat. These are lovely, lovely instruments and have a sound which I have never found anywhere else.
11. These are all kinds of lush. Super light and super comfy. The Piezo is everything you hoped it would be but had never actually heard in the flesh. It sits in VERY well with acoustic instruments in a way that magnetic pick ups just do not quite manage. Obv the magnetic pickup does it's funky magnetic thing in a great way as well. Do I miss mine? Can you tell?
12. Strip it yourself http://www.stewmac.com/How-To/Online_Resources/Finishing/How_to_strip_a_modern_poly_guitar_finish.html and send it to https://www.facebook.com/Retro169?fref=ts.
13. Advert up in main amps section. http://basschat.co.uk/topic/254321-acoustic-image-clarus-plus-800w-into-4-ohms-1kw-into-2-ohms/
14. 2 separate channels. Each comprising of Mic/Jack input, phantom power on Mic in, Bass/Mid/Treble, FX loop, Variable High Pass Filter and Phase Inverter. 450W into 8 Ohms, 800W into 4 Ohms and 1000W into 2 Ohms. It has a reverb/delay/chorus/flange on board FX thing but I never went there. Lighter than a light thing. No fan so super quiet for your more sensitive gigs And it has a smart little handbag to go with it. Need it you know you do.

Ian! Where have the pictures gone? Not cool.

Battery cover going in to battery cavity and 4 original string ferule holes being left just to remind me that it all started from recycling a Shuker 4 string body bought on here.

18.
I deal with the line up of professional cinema mixing environments - there's some very clever stuff going on.
I knew there has to be bassists involved in that given the LF goodness available in the cinema
I'm intrigued, too. What will it do?
Wander across to TB and do a search on Bergantino IP stuff.
19. I am running an IP310. Nothing else has ever come close to it. Yes, I could haul a box twice as big around but that is unattractive. Apparently this new amp has settings for all Berg cabs. Is the USB a way of loading up software and dialling in your own settings for non Berg cabs? Dunno. What I do know is that proper DSP is so much more than "just a little more top end".
