I have discovered that ear canals change shape as you get older. You should probably be looking at new molds every 4 years or so. I wish I knew this before today.
In a perfect world, I would take it. However I would need to sell a couple of instruments to make the £ and sadly the market says no. This will not stop me from working out how to do it as I fall asleep tonight, but I am now old enough to know it will not work. I have also just bought a bass last week so this is not a good time! Sorry to clog up the thread with this non essential chat. These are lovely, lovely instruments and have a sound which I have never found anywhere else.
These are all kinds of lush. Super light and super comfy. The Piezo is everything you hoped it would be but had never actually heard in the flesh. It sits in VERY well with acoustic instruments in a way that magnetic pick ups just do not quite manage. Obv the magnetic pickup does it's funky magnetic thing in a great way as well. Do I miss mine? Can you tell?
Strip it yourself http://www.stewmac.com/How-To/Online_Resources/Finishing/How_to_strip_a_modern_poly_guitar_finish.html and send it to https://www.facebook.com/Retro169?fref=ts.
2 separate channels. Each comprising of Mic/Jack input, phantom power on Mic in, Bass/Mid/Treble, FX loop, Variable High Pass Filter and Phase Inverter.
450W into 8 Ohms, 800W into 4 Ohms and 1000W into 2 Ohms.
It has a reverb/delay/chorus/flange on board FX thing but I never went there.
Lighter than a light thing. No fan so super quiet for your more sensitive gigs And it has a smart little handbag to go with it.
Need it you know you do.

Pickup housing mounted from behind to make it more aerodynamic. Battery cover going in to battery cavity and 4 original string ferule holes being left just to remind me that it all started from recycling a Shuker 4 string body bought on here.

Not really had a chance to mess with it yet, but I am enjoying it!

I deal with the line up of professional cinema mixing environments - there's some very clever stuff going on.

I knew there has to be bassists involved in that given the LF goodness available in the cinema

I'm intrigued, too. What will it do?

Wander across to TB and do a search on Bergantino IP stuff.
I am running an IP310. Nothing else has ever come close to it. Yes, I could haul a box twice as big around but that is unattractive. Apparently this new amp has settings for all Berg cabs. Is the USB a way of loading up software and dialling in your own settings for non Berg cabs? Dunno. What I do know is that proper DSP is so much more than "just a little more top end".

Ooo! I'll be very interested to hear a good demo, to find out if the frets still allow it to sound like an upright.

I'd also reserve judgement....but only because it is Berg.
It wouldn't be too hard to cop the better DSP models and put into a dedicated bass amp
but also, as it is Berg, it has to stand a chance of being creditable.

My guess is that the DSP is not about modelling classic heads but speaker management.
Major leap forward in amp design. Other companies are going to have to up their game. None of the grown up PA systems go out without DSP. DSP is obviously happening in all the smaller heads, but here it is happening for specific cabs and it is configurable. This is the future.
Yep, they are ACS. However, I have come to the conclusion that it is time for some new ones. Once you pass 40 your ear canals change shape and the suggestion is that you get new molds every 4 years. I am happy to go with ACS, but someone has pointed me in the direction of Hocks filters as well. Does anyone have any experience of the Hocks stuff?
TIA
All this + Rosewood knobs to come
