1.
Haha, it's quite easy because you let the fcb1010 send what it does in default and prog the ipad to take what it sends and do what you need.
That sounds so easy. But not in my world!
2.
On the opposite end of the scale I used a berg nv215 with the acoustic image focus at a festival last weekend, I was pretty scared but it sounded totally incredible!!! Not really in the lightweight arena bit I had to tell someone!!
I used to run AI into an NV610. It was lush.
3. I have a set in a rosewood board and a set in a maple board. The Rosewood board set is great. The set in the maple board is underwhelming in normal use. Obv, great in the dark when charged.
4.
If you don't need to shake bowels with your low notes,
Where is the fun in that?
5. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. PM
6. Thanks. I just bought a new iPad after flogging my old one. The Blue Job Thing will work now. I also have a processor which might not get as tired I owned an FCB1010 once. The idea of making it work with an iPad makes me see in different colours.
7. Will this do 5 strings? If so I would like it. Ta
8. They are bonkers, in a good way.
9. I am upgrading my iPad unless someone tells me I can run the iRig blue foot pedal thang with an iPad 2. Any work arounds out there? If not, what are people running which gives adequate performance?
10. [b] I have been using it and the ability to have one bod on FOH and people on stage setting their own monitor mixes via their iPhones or an iPod is superb. 11. Great piece of kit. It turns your iPad into a fully featured 16 channel mixer. I will get more details up tomorrow. I can do the iPad for an extra £120. It is a 30 pin connector version.
12. I have a J retro which I have had mounted in a box so that I could use it with lots of basses. I never did. You could unscrew it and lift it out of the box or use as is. I will do pics tomorrow but putting this up while I remember.
13. Still here. Price drop to £350
14. I bought this here cos I fancied trying it. It is not my flavour. Nothing wrong with it but it was not for me. Link to original sale for pics http://basschat.co.u..._1#entry2823103
15. Aha! Even I can manage that! Thanks.
16.
I've done exactly that trick with some headphones taped around the headstock...great feedback at bedroom levels The circuit from diy fever should work, in theory. I think you'd need to tweak it a bit.
i what way tweak it? Ta
17. This is A LOT of cab for that kind of money.
18. I could happily absorb a Big Al 5 into the house as well.
19. Cement cleaner in a tupperware box (other brands are avaiable). Machine heads in a smaller open box (Chinese takeaway). Smaller box into bigger box. Close lid on bigger box. Leave for an hour. Take machine heads out. Put in cardboard box. Shake for 5 seconds. Job done. Easay peasy.
20. The ones I have been to are usually mid morning to late afternoonish.
21. Sounds like one of my late night threads. The later I start the less likely the scenario is likely to happen in the cold light of day.
22. And then I realised that I had lent it to a student so I am afraid I will not be able to do this for a few days. Sorry.
23. You are correct, the spike thing would be instead of the solid stand and the instrument is free to move around then. The arm things allow you to "balance" the bass against your body as you would with a DB.
24. I have a fretted one. I like being able to move it between DB and Plank orientation depending on song. I have not noticed a huge issue playing it horizontally, but I will try again to see.
